We commend the World Bank for sending a strong message to the Ugandan government about the dangers of its anti-LGBTQ+ law, which is in contradiction to the bank's values.
We continue to champion global LGBTQ+ equality while calling for this dangerous law to be repealed.
Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act contradicts the @WorldBank’s values. After reviewing our portfolio in the context of the new legislation, no new public financing will be presented to our Board of Executive Directors.
