Our librarian Prachi sits with young readers, guiding them as they write their book reports, a beautiful exercise where every child reflects on what they’ve read, understood, and felt after finishing a book. It’s not just about reading, but about learning to think, express, and share their own voice through stories.

Help us get books & stationary for our members.
Our community's children deserve the best tools for their education. That's why we're reaching out to our amazing supporters on X to help us provide new books and stationary for the members of the Bansa Library.
We are currently in need of notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, and other essential school supplies, along with new and engaging storybooks and educational materials.
Whether you can contribute a single notebook or an entire box of supplies, every contribution makes a significant difference. Your generosity helps us create a better learning environment for the children of Bansa.
How you can help:
Purchase supplies: You can order new books and stationary from our Amazon Wishlist amazon.in/hz/wishlist/ls/3OU… and have them shipped directly to the library.
Donate funds: We also welcome monetary donations, which allow us to purchase the supplies most needed by our members. UPI- supportbansalibrary@axl or click here- pages.razorpay.com/RightToRe…
Each item you send becomes part of a shared treasure freely accessible to hundreds of children who otherwise have limited access to such resources. Thank you for believing in the power of libraries, and in the children and young people we serve.
With gratitude,
Team Bansa Library

As part of our ongoing Community Outreach Efforts, we conduct weekly community walks to nearby villages to engage with people of all ages. These visits are an opportunity for us to build relationships, listen to local needs, and introduce everyone from young children to elders to the world of possibilities that our library offers.
We talk about the importance of reading, the joy of learning, and the power of a shared space where people can access books, attend workshops, explore digital tools, and participate in community programs. Whether it is helping a child discover their first storybook, guiding a teenager toward educational resources, or inviting adults to lifelong learning sessions, our mission is to make the library a welcoming space for all.
Through these conversations, we aim not just to inform but to inspire. Every new connection brings us one step closer to a more informed, curious, and empowered community.

Every week at Bansa Library, our youngest student leaders take charge of something truly special setting the tone and spirit of the space through a weekly theme. And this week, they chose the most beautiful one of all: Friendship
From designing the chalkboard with love to carefully selecting books that celebrate friendship, these young leaders are not just members, they are the heart of the library, shaping it into a space of joy, care, and togetherness.
In a world that often underestimates children, we see them leading with creativity, responsibility, and so much warmth.
At Bansa, the library is more than just a place to read it’s a place where leaders grow, communities form, and friendships bloom, one thoughtful act at a time.

ALT Three young girls, smiling and standing arm in arm, pose proudly in front of a brightly colored yellow library wall. Behind them is a hand-drawn chalkboard with this week’s theme written in Hindi: "दोस्ती" (Friendship), along with a drawing of two friends hugging. Below the board is a display of children's books related to friendship. The setting is cheerful, with inspirational quotes framed above and greenery peeking in from the side, capturing the warmth and community spirit of the library.

At our library, something beautiful is happening. Our young members, especially aged 8 and above are falling in love with science. They’re full of questions, ideas, and dreams. Recently, on their request, we organised a fun little Science Experiment Workshop in the library courtyard. They were amazed. For many, it was their first time seeing science come alive.
Now, they’re dreaming even bigger. They want to visit Science City in Lucknow. For most of them, it will be their first time leaving the village. We want to take 300 of our young library members on this trip. But we need your help to make it happen.

With the weather finally giving us a break from the usual heat, the library courtyard filled up with young voices and laughter. Our members gathered for a read-aloud session one member reading while the others listened closely, completely drawn into the story. There were smiles, giggles, and that quiet joy of just being together with a good book. It’s in moments like these that we see what a community library truly is not just a place for books, but a space where bonds are built, friendships grow, and stories bring everyone closer. Through reading and imagination, we’re slowly but surely building something special, a community that learns, dreams, and laughs together.
