Your Insta360 already records what a robot sim needs. Most pipelines throw half of it away.
We rebuilt FreeGaussian around the raw .insv file. Every scene now ships with a sim-ready textured mesh: level, real-world scale, clean floor.
One walk through a warehouse ↓
Gothic arches out of thin air.
Vaulted aisles, carved stone tombs, a dark font that mirrors the whole space. Wiltshire, England, rebuilt as a 3D world from 360° video.
Walk the aisle → app.freegaussian.ai/spark-vi…
Make yours, free → freegaussian.ai
Flying an Antigravity A1? You can now drop the raw .insv straight off the SD card into FreeGaussian and get a Gaussian Splat + textured 3D mesh.
No stitching. No desktop export. Free. 🧵
The IMU also gives us gravity and true scale: flat ground, vertical walls, 1 m in the scene = 1 m on site.
Measure in metres right in the viewer, or drop the mesh into Blender, a game engine, MuJoCo or Isaac Sim without rescaling.
How to try it:
• Copy the .insv from the card (not an app export)
• Pick Antigravity on the upload page
Free tier, no install, no credit card 👇

Building anything? Scan it before the walls close.
Every stud, every wire, every rafter. Saved as a 3D world you can walk through years later.
This cabin, mid-build → app.freegaussian.ai/spark-vi…
Do it with any 360 camera, free → freegaussian.ai
Guess the country before the flag shows up.
It starts as a cloud of points. Then a courtyard, lawns, a white gabled building.
Every inch explorable in 3D, from a single 360° video.
Answer + fly around it → app.freegaussian.ai/spark-vi…

The mesh is built for robot training. The walkable floor is one clean, continuous plane, so wheels and feet stay grounded and physics contacts stay stable.
model.glb + model.usdz, ready for MuJoCo and NVIDIA Isaac Sim. Also opens in Blender, Unity, Unreal.
How to try it:
1. Copy the .insv straight from the SD card, not a Studio export
2. Skip the .lrv preview files
3. Select Insta360 as source
Works on the free plan. No install, no card.

This is not a photo of an attic.
It's a 3D world. Walk to the window. Look under the slanted ceiling. Circle the beanbag.
Made from ordinary 360 footage. Free.
Step inside → app.freegaussian.ai/spark-vi…
Your room is next → freegaussian.ai
Out of the dark, a living room assembles itself, point by point. Then it turns real.
360 camera footage in. A fully explorable 3D Gaussian Splat out. Completely free.
Walk through it yourself → app.freegaussian.ai/spark-vi…

3D Gaussian Splatting used to require a GPU cluster, a pipeline, and weeks of work.
Now it takes one upload.
freegaussian.ai reconstructs any footage, photos, video, or 360°, into a photorealistic, fully navigable 3D Gaussian Splat, automatically and for free.
If you have a camera, you have everything you need.
↳ Any format: photos, .mp4, .insv, 360°
↳ Any location: indoor, outdoor, aerial
↳ Result: explorable in-browser, shareable, free

We’ve updated our Insta360 X5 Mapping Guide. 📍
One of the most important changes is simple: keep each mapping session under 10 minutes and return to where you started.
Ideally, walk for around 5 minutes, turn around, and map your way back to the same starting point.
Why? Because the way you capture a location directly affects the quality of the 3D reconstruction.
Better capture paths mean better geometry, more reliable reconstructions, and higher-quality Gaussian Splats like the one you see here.
If you’re mapping with an @insta360 X5, make sure to follow the updated guide before your next session.
