Big thanks to @BBCMorningLive for correcting the mistake before the end of the show. It often takes ages for corrections to happen & whilst its never ideal for incorrect info to be stated - correct info being provided within the same show is amazing.

It’s been nearly three weeks since @foodgov last updated us on the mustard/ peanut contamination situation - there’s been nothing else aside from a couple of product alerts. I think it would be helpful to know how things are progressing, please. The impact is ongoing…

The FSA is warning peanut allergy sufferers to avoid mustard as some brands have been contaminated but McDonald's says its products are unaffected.

Some clarification finally from @foodgov - but in this blog they don’t talk about avoiding ‘may contain’ (which previous comms recommended) AND the responses I’ve had from @UnileverUKI @waitrose @sainsburys @Tesco have been v different. Still a mess, sorry food.blog.gov.uk/2024/09/24/…

So far in 30 mins of lunch break I’ve phoned and established that the mustards made by the following companies or retailers are NOT implicated in the peanut contamination scare -
