I always understood beyond reasonable doubt to be way higher. Like 99.99999999% (more than 1 in 10 billion, less than that and its probably happened by random chance to ar least someone)
When it comes to certainty:
•Civil Lawsuit: Preponderance of evidence—50.1% sure
•Criminal charge : Beyond a reasonable doubt—90-99% sure
•Consent: Zero doubt. 100% sure. No exceptions. None. Zip. Zilch. Anyone claiming otherwise is telling you who they are. Believe them.
