The rise of propAMMs has much larger impact on Ethereum than on other chains
propAMMs beat traditional AMMs because their prices are a full block time fresher. That's substantial on a chain with a few 100ms block times. It's massive on Ethereum with multi-second slots.
pAMMs are dramatically improving Ethereum as a trading venue without making geographic decentralisation and robustness tradeoffs that low latency blocks can require

people keep asking me what the optimal topology for a swarm of agents is, so we tested six in our lab. we scattered the clues to a hidden map across 50 AI agents and changed how they were organized: who can message whom, who writes roads onto the map, who answers the routes ⬇️

ALT Figure titled six ways to organize 50 agents, six network diagrams with a one-line label each. Amber dots are the agents that write roads onto the map, a teal ring marks the agent that answers the routes, lines show who can message whom. Five hubs, one writer: five teams of ten joined through their leads, one amber writer. Public board, one writer: 50 agents around one board, one amber writer. Five leads each write a region: the five leads are amber. One writes, a second does routes: one amber writer, a second agent ringed. Leads write, a second does routes: leads amber, a second agent ringed. Everyone writes: all 50 around the board are amber.
Your MEV protection may not work as you expect. We discuss our latest paper on protected order flow sandwich attacks and release an explorer to check if your protected transaction was sandwiched, and how.

this weekend @visavishesh, @0xShadow and i joined the swarm dynamics hackathon hosted by @aidigest_, @grove_research and @deepfates, and used it as an excuse to build a lab run by the swarm it studies. 3 humans, 1000+ agents, ~30 hours. here's what it found, failures included ⬇️

EIP-8198 introduces infra for variable slot timing, enabling Ethereum to gradually shorten slots as bottlenecks are better understood.
We published our take on it, supporting the move toward shorter slots while arguing that geo incentives should remain part of the evaluation 👇
