I think this is correct. All software in the world will go through hardening in the next few months. There’s no other realistic choice. Cloudflare is about to have their best year ever.
The only way out is through. They're calling it the Bugpocalypse. LLMs are being used to find long-hidden cracks in the software infrastructure, and it's happening at a furious rate. 3% of all compromises in computing history happened in the last week, claims one source? I believe it. There are people saying public access to the frontier models ought to be locked out, or heavily guardrailed, over this. The problem with that idea can be summed up in one sentence: when lockpicks are outlawed, only outlaws will have lockpicks. The lockpicks will be Chinese open-weight models, if nothing else. There's no way to stop those from becoming ubiquitous. There are two futures in front of us. One in which only the bad guys have lockpicks, and security holes go undiscovered until they're exploited. Another in which everybody has lockpicks and is aggressively red-teaming their own software so it gets fixed before the holes are exploited. The corpus of human code is huge but finite. The number of defects in it has to be finite too. We can fix those defects now; we have a million friendly robots to do it with. The only way out is through.

Samsung TVs look for microphones in your house via Bluetooth and then spy events like dogs barking or babies crying. They also spy what you do on YouTube and other apps. Thanks abliterated DeepSeek.
turns out it classifies what audio it hears, before reporting back to samsung. sensor preferences, dog-barking and baby-crying event counters, and camera streaming duration are built into telemetry paths.

Why is the internet broken today? 1. The Indian certificate authority picked "4" as the password of their SSL certificates. Yes, 4 2. PHP and Node.js have a critical vulnerability 3. Some guy disclosed it before the fixes were released 4. More vulnerabilities have been discovered in the past 24 hours at the same time

My gift to you: I automated YouTube marketing with Claude Code and open-sourced it. 5 subagents (Scout → Engineer → QA → Growth → PM) + 12 skills: A/B titles, thumbnail briefs, Shorts, analytics, IG captions. Enjoy: github.com/TifisCode/content…

I'm trying to like Gemini 4 Argon, so hard. Half the time, the Gemini app will crash or forget a prompt. Most of the time, it times out or takes forever to output first token. I guess AI Mode is working for Google and it's eating their TPUs, but damn.

A horrible AI side effect. All companies will need to have a mandatory AI defense budget, throwing tokens at fending off automated attacks. No one wins except the inference providers.
they've been non stop trying to attack our systems for the past 48 hours a side effect is everything is getting hardened but damn we basically need agents going 24/7 because that's what they have

Some observations about the "total" automation of software engineering: 1. There are more software engineers now than in 2025, and demand is growing. 2. Software engineers have never worked harder than they do now. 3. They largely don't write code anymore, agents write ~100% of the code. 4. The bottom line of the companies that employs these engineers and agents (i.e. the terminal purpose of all this code) is typically not budging as a result of AI adoption. This is why you have to think in terms of systems. Automating one aspect of a system creates its own friction and moves the bottlenecks elsewhere.
