Marjorie, I know the truth confuses you and facts ain’t your strong suit—so let me break it down real slow: George Floyd didn’t die from drugs. He died because Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for 9 minutes. That’s called murder. We all saw it. You can lie to yourself all day, but the rest of us remember exactly what happened.

Now we’ve got the Jewish mayor of Miami using his office to cancel the lease of a tiny community theater because it screened the *Oscar Winning* documentary No Other Land last week. Meiner claims the film is “an attack on Jewish people” despite the fact that half of the direction/production team is quite literally Jewish. Like I said, the attack on free speech doesn’t stop with Mahmoud Khalil.

Let’s be real clear: Donald Trump has fired Gen. C.Q. Brown as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff because he is a Black man. They DO NOT want Black people on high-ranking positions. He and Pete Hegseth claims Brown, only the 2nd African American to ever hold the position, was too focused on diversity. This administration is all about white heterosexual conservative men. PERIOD.

Today, I had the absolute privilege of sharing my 50-year physiotherapy career journey with students @unibirmingham as part of their career day. From sitting on a wall outside my student digs in Bristol, navigating the aftermath of Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech

Why is shameless liar Trump allowed to repeat the obvious lie about 'spending $100 million on condoms for Hamas' when everyone on earth knows it's not remotely true? Because America is no longer a democracy and there are millions of Americans who simply don't care about truth.
REPORTER: Why is it important for Elon Musk to have access to the payments systems at Treasury? TRUMP: Well, he's got access only to letting people go that he thinks are no good, and it's only if we agree with him

Instead of listing my publications, as the year draws to an end, I want to put pressure on the commonplace assumption that productivity must always increase. Good research is disruptive and thinking time is central to high quality scholarship and necessary for disruptive research

BREAKING: The Trump administration quietly pulls the plug on the menthol cigarette ban. Once again, Big Tobacco wins, and public health takes the hit. But hey, who needs clean air and healthy lungs when profits are on the line, right?

We live in a society that loves feel good stories about people coming together to help members of their community that are in need, but scoff at the idea of building a system based on that very same concept.

You’re committing genocide as you post this.
After reviewing the horrifying information of suffering inside Sudan, I have concluded that members of the Rapid Support Forces and allied militias have committed genocide in Sudan. The United States is committed to pursuing accountability for these atrocities.

Switzerland, a country of cheap public transport and €1000 a year university tuition fees. Don’t argue for either in the U.K., though. That’s Stalinism/student politics etc.
Parisians are complaining about paying 88 euros a month for their metro cards... Londoners have to choke up at least 164 pounds a month, often considerably more. Londoners have it so bad.
