I wholeheartedly agree. But for me it’s actually even simpler than this.
The idea that one human being should be addressed as “His Majesty” or “Her Majesty” purely because of birth, or in Camilla’s case through marriage, is just fundamentally illogical to me.
In a modern democracy, why should any citizen be expected to confer that sort of status on another human being?
I don’t hate the Royal Family. I just don’t accept the principle.
And that, fundamentally, is why I’m not a royalist.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has no shame. He’s a billionaire who moved to Monaco to avoid paying personal income tax in the UK, yet wants people to hate asylum seekers and benefit claimants. Meanwhile, his companies have received over £790m in taxpayers’ money through grants and loans.
He’s also cut over 400 jobs at Manchester United.
