The SpaceX Recovery team is still working to recover Flight 13’s Starship from the Indian Ocean. They’ve been overcoming challenging conditions and increasingly rough seas as they attempt to guide the 52m long spacecraft to port

More realistic than the push for Mars. Lunar ISRU + mass drivers + NEO asteroid capture or development + Space Based Solar + building the bridges to Mars and Titan. Definitely doable. In my personal field, He-3 fusion! @OLHZN @mikoske @JaraySzabolcs @AstroRoadie We can do this!

We hope to make the Moon accessible to anyone who wants to go there

Elon Musk just announced a major strategic pivot for @SpaceX: the company is officially shifting its primary focus to building a "self-growing city" on the Moon. The logic is centered on speed. While Mars missions are restricted by orbital alignments every 26 months, SpaceX can launch to the Moon every 10 days. This allows for much faster iteration and development. @elonmusk estimates that a lunar city could be achieved in less than 10 years. In contrast, a similar presence on Mars is now projected to take 20 or more years to establish. Mars remains on the long-term roadmap with work potentially starting in 5 to 7 years, but the immediate priority is now "securing the future of civilization" via the faster lunar route.

I’d go for A with “get solar on every home with battery storage and get more nuclear power on the grid” @ziontree
Never reposted to type the letter A so fast A) A) A)

Can’t wait to see a New Glenn booster land, another success in reusable rockets @OLHZN @StingerNSW 👍
“We expect to return to flight in late spring and will attempt to land the booster again.”

Will you cover the launch with the Space Lobster Nation @OLHZN ? Ready to moderate! 👍

Ignoring the politics: - Wilmore and Williams always had a safe option to return to Earth. - Suni went on to lead EVA experience (well done @Astro_Suni!) - SpaceX and NASA handover period had Crew-9 and Crew-10 ready and prepped. It worked! @OLHZN @NASASpaceflight @DJSnM

Please save the German nuclear power plants since they are (a) the best in the world and (b) ready to deliver net zero @ziontree
we can save her (Brokdorf, 1410 MW, as seen by me two weeks ago)

PS this is speaking as a British nuclear power plant operator, who delivers 4% of UK electricity but with less panache than my German colleagues 👍

“SpaceX reached out immediately to the government of Turks and Caicos and the United Kingdom to coordinate recovery and cleanup efforts. While an early end to the flight test is never a desired outcome, the measures put in place ahead of launch kept the public safe.” @OLHZN

Hi, I’m Jessica Kirsh 🤝 I spent three years documenting the SpaceX Starship program as boots on the ground in Starbase, Texas. I may not be as memorable or popular as some other folks, but I am an honest human human with a big heart and a huge passion for documenting humanity’s next great leap(s) to the Moon, Mars, and eventually the stars. I have hundreds of hours of video footage and millions of photographs I captured between January 2021 - April 2024, but most of it hasn’t yet seen the light of day. I’m putting this in the universe, which is I hope to be seen, heard, and remembered for the (almost daily) live streams I’ve held over the years, where I was able to provide a front row perspective to those who couldn’t / can’t be here in person to witness history being made right before our eyes as well as the joy and excitement felt when experiencing the sights and sounds of Starbase. The Starship program will provide a very bright future for humanity as we become a multi-planetary species! I hope you’ll follow along on our journey to Mars! Please FOLLOW, LIKE, and REPOST this to help with reach — so maybe more folks will find me in this massive world of 𝕏.

That is literally centimetre level accuracy. It is in the dead centre of the shock absorber beam. Insane. Congratulations @SpaceX you mad geniuses! @OLHZN
