I have no God. Buddhism is always about taking your karmic consequences for your own actions.
And I do hope karma catches up with them soon.

What we allow to happen to Gaza today is a glimpse of what the world could become tomorrow.
That entire populations can be killed, surveilled, controlled, displaced, and brutalized while governments call it security.
Once we accept this as normal for Palestinians, what exactly stops it from becoming normal for everyone else?

In 2019 Hong Kong, Western media romanticized street violence as “pro-democracy resistance.”
Arson, attacks on police, destroyed infrastructure, blocked roads — all wrapped in the language of freedom.
Now France burns and suddenly the vocabulary changes:
riots. looting. violent agitators. public order. protest bans.
Amazing how quickly Western journalism rediscovers the rule of law when the fire reaches Paris instead of Hong Kong.
Violence abroad is resistance.
Violence at home is disorder.
Same flames. Different dictionary.
The West does not have one standard for protest.
It has one dictionary for its rivals and another for itself.

#LiYitong interview cont’d — To me, ambition is connected to the imagination you have for your own life. If you don't have anything you want to do or anything you dream of becoming, how empty and boring would life be?
“So I don't think ambition is necessarily a negative thing. Like I said earlier, if there's a role I really want to play, I should be willing to work for it and fight for the opportunity. That's part of acting, too. If I eventually succeed, it's because I worked for that opportunity. I don't rely on underhanded methods or anything inappropriate. I think it's good to express yourself boldly and let other people see the sides of you that they may not have noticed before. You have an imagination for your own life, and then you work to make it real. That's a wonderful form of growth. And it's also about recognizing and seizing opportunities when they come.”
🗣️Does she want to win a Magnolia Award?
Interviewer: Would you like to win a Magnolia Award someday?
🤣🤣 “The Magnolia Award!”🤣🤣🤣
🍐There was a character in a drama—Song Yimeng, I think—who wrote herself a Magnolia Award in the story. I was just using that as an example of the kind of award I'm talking about.
“I think awards are a form of recognition and encouragement. But you can't act solely for the purpose of winning one. When I started acting ten years ago, it wasn't because I wanted to win an award. It was because I experienced the joy of being an actor.
“Every character, every person, every life, and every journey gives me a special kind of fulfillment.
Of course! I can't say I don't want anything at all and that I'm just going to burn myself out for the sake of acting. I was only using the Magnolia Award as an example. Perhaps I still have many, many years of hard work ahead of me before I can reach that point. For now, I'll focus on growing slowly and doing my best. If the opportunity comes, I'll welcome it. If it doesn't, then that's a regret I'll have to accept. There's no need to rush
Part4 -
Ofc, I want her to move forward into a new relationship—but she doesn't have to keep looking backward at the scumbag she left behind. More importantly, for women, life isn't just about romantic relationships.💪💪💪
“Imagine that you've gone through a marriage that ended badly. What heals you afterward might be your own interests, the things you've built for yourself, your family, your friendships, or the strength you receive from the people around you.
Sometimes, you have to be the person who reaches out and pulls yourself back up.
Your future self can help your present self.
You don't have to limit yourself to a romantic relationship as the only source of happiness or healing. ❤️🩹
🗣️You mentioned wanting to explore a different kind of character. What made this role special?
😏I finally found a new path for myself. 😅🤭Actually, I wanted to play a villainous woman ten years ago, but nobody offered me those roles. Perhaps people thought I didn't look suitable for them, or that I had a sweet appearance and wouldn't have enough inner strength to portray that kind of character.
But I had wanted to try it for a decade, and now, ten years later, I finally got the opportunity. Looking back, I've realized that I need to advocate for myself more. In the past, if other people saw me in a certain way, I'd think, ‘Okay, that's how they see me,’ and simply focus on doing my best with every role. But now, if I see a role and believe I can handle it, I'm more willing to fight for the opportunity.”
🗣️Which roles have you actively pursued?
🍐: #AProphet was one of them. And the drama #TheNoble that I recently finished filming was another. I'll express my ideas clearly, although whether fate brings the right opportunity is another matter. There are so many excellent actors in China, and there are so many wonderful scripts, characters, and dramas. Luck is certainly part of it, too.
🗣️Someone summarized the two stories by saying one begins with a woman being deceived by her husband, while the other begins with a woman deceiving her husband.
🍐That's a pretty accurate way to put it 🤣🤣 But Yu Meng and Jiang Feiyan are different. I think Jiang Feiyan's underlying story is more tragic. In the Republican-era setting, women were already in a more vulnerable position. If women didn't support one another in that period, there would be even less light for them to hold on to.
That's why I think the stories are different, even though both explore women, relationships, and the ways people deal with difficult circumstances.”
🗣️How do you feel about getting older and the anxiety that sometimes comes with age?
🍐When I was younger, forty seemed like a very distant age. In fact, I looked forward to it. I thought it would be a beautiful stage of life. I think age anxiety depends on how you look at it. There's a psychological concept called the spotlight effect. It means that we tend to overestimate how much other people notice or care about us. Sometimes, when I start feeling anxious, I remind myself to step outside my own perspective. You think everyone is paying attention to you, but actually, they aren't nearly as focused on you as you imagine. I remember hearing about a psychology experiment in which a student wore a particularly embarrassing picture on a T-shirt and walked into a classroom. More than half the students thought they would notice the embarrassing image. But in reality, fewer than ten percent actually paid attention to it. We tend to overestimate how much other people notice us and judge us. Remembering that can help reduce anxiety. In the past, if I were in a room full of people and suddenly burped or did something embarrassing, I'd spend a long time thinking about it afterward.
“I'd wonder whether everyone thought I was awkward or whether people would judge me for doing something like that. But now, I don't worry so much about what other people think. I remind myself not to assume that everyone is paying attention to me

That’s what happens when an artist only makes 15% of revenue generated from their own music and the label gets 85%, the label will invest more funds because they have a greater reward.
