For the record, I support this—because the Bible tells me so.

After the Green Party's "Zionism is Racism" vote, the Leader of Haringey Council, which is controlled by the Greens, wrote to various Synagogues in the borough to "reassure" them. I want to show you Highgate Synagogue's reply. I believe it is worth reading in its entirety.

We must resist these modern, horribly Orwellian, attempts to vaporise Archbishop Laud!!!
.@davidgr08051597 'High Church Anglicanism' is really a Victorian thing. Not much of it around in the days of Edward VI or Elizabeth, the monarchs who actually did bring th C of E into being. Henry';s dispute with More and Fisher was, ioke his dispite with Charles V(and hs then servant, the Pope) poltical, not religious.

Belief in God, said a generation of humanists, is anti-human - yet in the age of AI, it’ll be the God botherers who will insist human beings are special, distinct from machine, because human beings have a soul.

We can learn a lot from Puddleglum’s response to being told by a demonic creature from the underworld that the world he inhabits never actually existed

The annual ritual of reviving and then cancelling the Chagos Deal under a new Prime Minister whenever the Americans object to it was originally a pagan festival, actually

There are many ways into philosophy. But if pushed I prefer to talk about Christian philosophy rather than Christian theology. It’s more Patristic.

It is very difficult to convince those in charge - bishops who are generally quite sure they are in that position because of their outstanding skill set - that people need to receive an education they have not.

No one should be ordained priest without some solid knowledge of philosophy besides theology. How can they possibly perform their ‘clerical’ task otherwise? This is more needed today than before, because almost everyone is influenced by pop philosophy in some sense or other.

Built between 1880 and 1910, Truro Cathedral is over a century old. But hidden inside are pieces of a church that stood here in the 1500s.

After 12 wonderful years, I am joining the board of Weyland-Yutani, the most interesting company in the solar system. There are challenges. Most of the criticism is propaganda. But if you're smart, we can both come out of it as heroes and we'll be set up for life.
After six wonderful years at UK Music, I'm joining Palantir UK as Senior Vice President. Palantir is the most interesting company on the planet, doing work of real consequence: helping Britain and its allies defend themselves, helping police protect our citizens and helping NHS staff get patients treated and home sooner. London is comfortably its largest centre outside the US, home to more than one in six employees, the highest proportion among the world's largest technology companies. We have challenges. Some criticism is propaganda. Some raises legitimate questions about large technology companies and sovereign control. Both require answers. Part of my role will be to correct false information while working with our engineers to ensure privacy, security and respect for sovereignty are at the heart of everything we do.

1/10 This is a curious move. There is a strong case for changing a law which singles out Catholics and Jews for exclusion. In a country where Christianity itself is now a minority faith, that discrimination is difficult to defend.

So will the left now realise that from 1789 anti-colonialism is an American capitalist strategy that favours its own counter-empire? There never has or will be a world without empire: a nationalist fantasy on both left and far-right. The issue is always craft a juster empire.

Especially if they enact the rumoured option of taking the series back to a 60s setting. An older, experienced, veteran of the war Commander Bond would be a tremendous choice. Take it away from the Bourne-ification that has rather ruined the series.
Is Cavill too old? Roger Moore was 45 in Live and Let Die and he did more Bond outings than any other actor, including some of the best in the series. Plus, celebs look much younger nowdays than they did in the past As Bond says to Elliot Carver, give the people what they want!

The 'ultra-capitalism' is the most pernicious...it creates the climate that gives people the permission to embrace the other evils...
Problems with the Christian Right are things like embrace of nationalism, semi-racism, ultra-capitalism, anti-ecologism, over-disciplinary pedagogy and judicial punishment as revenge. *Not* opposing gay marriage and the trans cult and being pro family. That’s just Christian.

I would suggest that the Account of S. John the Theologian hardly counts as a 5th century appearance...
Replying to @RomanoSace57080
The Anglican theologian Eric Mascall proposed at the time of the definition that there was a want of early evidence because the Assumption only happened in the 5th century. This was original but not widely received.
