I'm not getting the negativity around @ManUtd Last week, they conceded after 1 minute. This evening, they conceded after 2 minutes. That's a 100% improvement in the space of a week. #progress

This is now consistently worse than what I watched under Amorim.... And I cannot believe I'm saying that. But don't get distracted. Glazers have to get out before anything changes.

Bumped into an old football manager that I haven't seen in 25 years. He asked me if I had time to sit down, I didn't. But I said fuck it ... I was waiting on a call too, which of course came as I was talking with him. I hung up and continued the conversation So glad I did.

This is stunning. The level of quality required to skim that on the volley, through the tiniest gap... And the striker does exceptionally well. Great goal.
Got to be one of the best passes of a football I've ever seen watching Walsall. Jed Ward is ridiculously good 😮‍💨

If only Leo could work his way into politics. The man could make a real difference.... 👀
The government has put the Living Wage on the long-finger due to concerns that it's putting too many businesses under too much pressure. Ok. But what is it's policy now when it comes to helping out people who work hard for low-pay? IMO - there are plenty of options but having no serious policy at all should not be one of them. As an Irish Manchester United fan, I sincerely hope he stays away.
🚨🚨 NEW: Manchester United are seriously CONSIDERING a move for Real Betis striker Troy Parrott and have sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old. Parrott registered 31 goals and 12 assists last season and has an €80M release clause. United are looking at options amid concerns over Benjamin Šeško’s injury. [@Sport_Witness] #mufc

There can be zero, zero leniency shown towards anyone involved in that attack in Waterford. Harshest sentences possible, and chase down everyone involved, from those that ordered the attack and their little lackies that carried it out.

Agree
Anyone else feel the Premier League has gone shit these last few years? Not just the Sham City debacle but in general, really boring to watch. Really falling out of love with football. No real ballers or flair players anymore

100% agree. I absolutely love the game. I'm lucky to be still playing. I watch my son play. I coach kids after school and when I stop playing, I'll likely get more involved with coaching. But as a supporter? I think I'm done.
Football has been a massive part of my life since I was five. Always playing and watching as a kid and young adult. But over the last few years I can feel myself falling out with it. Constant cheating on and off the pitch. VAR making some games unwatchable. The money and corruption is now in plain sight. It might have something to do with the fact I don’t play any more, kids entertain me on weekends now and I’ve found other interests. Im finding myself less interested in it as time goes on. I’m not really bothered about watching the big games anymore. Missed City v Liverpool today for example. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

Went out for a fine dining experience with the missus last night. One of the courses was a potato. A fucking potato 🤣 Surely somebody could have put their hand up when they were creating the menu and just said "nah chef, that's a bit shite."

How can you pretend to be leading a cost of living protest movement and be against an increase in the minimum wage?

Shhhurrup Guillem, ye dzope.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think. In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards. Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted. City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it. From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system. From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.” If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor. We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?” And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
