Let's face it. "Cash-out refinance" sounds a lot sexier than "equity release". Those Americans...

Really good investor annual letter. info.nydig.com/hubfs/2023-St… Unique perspective, not afraid to differ. Company ethics too.
The 2023 Stone Ridge investor letter is out. It's one of those annual letters that is good to read, and then read a second time. info.nydig.com/hubfs/2023-St…

"You'd be amazed at how reluctant some chair people are to meet me. I wouldn't mind if they were trading at NAV, but when they're trading at 45% discount you would have thought they might want to take a coffee!" LondonMetric Property, A. Jones on the REIT situation

Clearly there's a conflict of interest by some REITs who should be working for the shareholders, not for the non execs and the managers. Sell or liquidate. Edison #EPIC and #CTPT recent acquisitions show there's another way.

There are plenty of options. Personally use Blackrock Cash D Acc or ERNS ETF. There’s understandable plenty of discussion online about this currently. For me, it’s the hassle of moving funds between broker and bank. @FoxyMonkey has written a nice article foxymonkey.com/best-places-c…

8. Mortgage Overpayments Seriously, that's underrated. If your mortgage rate is anywhere between 4-6%, why not make some overpayments? You are "earning" 4-6% by NOT paying it. Risk-free, tax-free, guaranteed. Plus better LTV later. Look out for extra charges on overpayments.
