how I make my obelisks:
- random 3D shape.
- chop it up like clay, punching holes, cutting corners.
- simulate aging by smashing it up.
- make sure to keep light direction and subtle highlights.
- only add colours when you need to differentiate geometry.

High fps makes games feel better, resolution textures don't. It's 2023 and 30fps should not be the standard. It's also Bethesda RPG, nobody expects perfect. This is for marketing, and so nobody says "It doesn't look like the trailers." You're right, but that makes it worse.

The fact that it's been a decade and you've relegated your best selling franchises latest release status to an online only tech demo is concerning. It's all well and good but I'm not paying for a glorified tech demo with no content.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more research into combining the two. It seems odd to have these as separate feature sets when so many of their components could work hand in hand.
