Congratulations to Fox lab student Josh Silva on his @NatEyeInstitute grant! This F31 award supports his work in the model fruit fly to study immediate impacts of extra DNA (polyploidy) on metabolism and organ growth. His findings can reveal how extra DNA impacts cells/organs.

Congratulations to Fox lab Ph.D. student Erin Dickert on her funded @theNCI grant! This award supports her work in the model fruit fly to study how dividing cells respond to broken DNA. The molecules to be studied are also in humans, so her results can reveal new cancer biology.
