Yes very odd. Almost as if there are lots of powerful people who don't want this discussed.

Communion with God is neither abstraction nor vague bromide. Nothing is more concretely empowering for facing life. I have pancreatic cancer. That's not the only kind of human trouble, but it is a serious one, and communion with God is what I've needed. Nothing like it. Seek it.

In spite of massive public health interventions, U.S. excess deaths during pandemic are greater than all military deaths since WWI.

Human tendency to conform, especially when in large groups, is terrifying. Propaganda machines leverage this throughout human history. The way out is to think freely, detached from the divisive narratives of the day that masquerade as universal truths. This often feels lonely.

Yes. We also have to consider population life-months lost from lockdowns & other restrictions vs life-months lost from any given disease.

4am hits hard sometimes. I'm both lonely and full of love, unsure of anything and yet happy. Where did we come from? Why are we here? I don't know, but I like it. The people are beautiful and the food is delicious.

Ten lessons I learned from the pandemic: 1. Most people are not that smart. Those who are smart can easily be scared into believing whatever is told to them. People who are both smart and can continue thinking critically during crises are gemstones. (1/x) profthinks.substack.com/p/te…

If you never feel fear, and everything you're facing makes sense on paper, what would you need God for? He wants you to try something so big that it's bound to fail unless He intervenes.

.@ZelenskyyUa's tv address to the Russian (!) people might be the most moving speech that I've ever seen in my entire life. The whole world needs to see, understand and share this crucial Ukrainian message. #StandWithUkraine #Ukraine #Україна #Russia #Россия

This was the Elton John concert at Madison Square Garden last night. On Monday, young children with disabilities will struggle to learn to speak, read, and make friends from behind a mask. It’s unfortunate, but we all must do our part to stop the spread of Omicron.
