I guess we had a different expectation when they said they were ‘launching’ the new Tesla roadster. I mistakenly thought we’d be getting a new car (flying) sometime next year. After the event it became clear this was a marketing demonstration from an old hot wheels dream of elons. $TSLA

six things from this week in Kaspa dev, loosely understood by intern. 1 / Rusty Kaspa @supertypo_kas’s optional lowio profile was merged into Rusty Kaspa. node operators with RAM to spare can enable it to reduce disk writes. his benchmarks showed roughly half as many bytes written. github.com/kaspanet/rusty-ka… 2 / wallet queries D-Stacks’ update lets wallets fetch unspent outputs a page at a time and request only newer ones when needed. merged into Rusty Kaspa this week and awaiting a release. github.com/kaspanet/rusty-ka… 3 / portable Kaspa libraries @Max143672 added support for compiling Kaspa’s core consensus and crypto libraries without Rust’s standard library, for use in constrained environments. merged this week. github.com/kaspanet/rusty-ka… 4 / KCC23 @manyfest_’s proposal gives tokens a way to attach verifiable details like a name, symbol and decimal places. merged into the KCC repository this week, but still a draft standard. github.com/kaspanet/kccs/pul… 5 / Kaspa Privacy Initiative @WellerOlaf shared a testnet experiment showing deposits, proof-based settlement and withdrawals using Kaspa’s Based Apps. balances and transfers are still public. privacy is the next research step. xitter.cf/WellerOlaf/status/2111… 6 / KAS-backed token example @manyfest_ proposed a KCC20 example where each token is backed by one KAS. the offline demo covers creating tokens, transferring them and redeeming them for KAS. the pull request is still open. github.com/argent-lang/kcc20…
Kaspa Privacy Initiative — Development Update Following my conversation with @michaelsuttonil, we set out to test whether Kaspa's Based Apps and KIP-21 could provide the foundation for a shielded native KAS protocol. The feasibility PoC on TN10 is now complete! Across PRs #31–33, we've demonstrated: ✅ Real Kaspa L1 lane ordering ✅ Execution with cryptographic ZK proofs ✅ Proof-based settlement accepted by Kaspa ✅ Rejection of deliberately omitted operations ✅ State reconstruction and successful native KAS withdrawal after executor downtime This is a significant step forward. Rather than building our own transaction-ordering infrastructure, we can potentially build on capabilities already available in Kaspa. We've also added a new design principle in PR #34: future protocol upgrades should preserve users' access to their funds and aim to enable privacy-preserving migration between versions. Now comes the part we've been working towards: actual financial privacy. Our next milestone is a shielded payment cycle: Alice deposits native test-KAS, privately pays Bob, and Bob withdraws native test-KAS. We'll begin by designing the private notes, commitments, nullifiers and ZK proof rules needed to make that possible. The Based App PoC demonstrates technical feasibility within its tested scope. It is not yet a privacy protocol, an independently audited system or a final architecture decision. But we're moving from proving the infrastructure to building the privacy layer itself. All research remains open source. Technical feedback and contributions are welcome! github.com/olafweller/kaspa-…

A huge MRP poll just out - Restore Britain on a record 8%. 10%+ in 180 seats. Absolutely astonishing. We are now reaching serious levels of support, and it is going to keep growing and growing. We are going to take our country back.

two years ago, when we were designing based rollups/apps over kaspa with canonical bridging etc, did we have this privacy use case in mind? at least for me, no. (see posts here: research.kas.pa/t/on-the-des… research.kas.pa/t/l1-l2-cano… brainstormed with @dimdumon, @hashdag and @VolokhIlia) seeing these ideas now being explored for privacy is a reminder of why infrastructure work needs to be sound, diligent and forward thinking. you can’t anticipate every application, but thinking carefully about the foundations can make room for things you hadn’t specifically imagined. eg with the canonical bridge, the core idea is a pool of resources whose internal distribution is managed by the L2 app state and opaque to L1. this seems to map cleanly to the proposed privacy architecture, with an additional layer where each user’s private state is hidden from everyone else and the app itself verifies user proofs as part of its execution/proving (worth mentioning that these user proofs need not be directly compatible with L1 zk opcodes, only the outer app proof needs to be) same goes for kip21 and proving work proportional to app activity, which seems rather useful and important here as well. one more thing i wanted to add here (and we discussed), @WellerOlaf: the based component not only provides censorship resistance but also gives in-app confirmation times driven by L1 frequency and not proof frequency. once an operation is ordered and its execution locally validated, every possible prover is bound to that outcome. no valid proof can advance past it while skipping or changing it
Had a really interesting conversation with Kaspa core developer @michaelsuttonil about the Kaspa Privacy Initiative today. We discussed our candidate architecture for a scalable shielded native KAS protocol, using covenants, ZK proofs, permissionless relayers and batchers. One of the biggest takeaways was how much of the infrastructure we're looking for may already be available through Kaspa's Based Apps and KIP-21. In our original design, one of the challenges was ensuring that batchers couldn't selectively omit user operations while claiming to have processed a complete batch. With Based Apps, user operations can be ordered directly on Kaspa L1 in an application-specific lane. KIP-21 provides cryptographic sequencing commitments, allowing a properly designed settlement proof to demonstrate that the relevant operations were processed correctly. That could remove a substantial amount of custom infrastructure we'd otherwise have to build ourselves. We also discussed canonical bridges, recursive proving and why sharding may introduce unnecessary complexity at this stage. Our next step is a small Based App feasibility PoC on TN10. We'll test lane ordering, execution, proof-based settlement, deliberate transaction omission and independent reconstruction before adding the actual shielded privacy logic. No architecture has been finalized. The goal remains to find the safest, most scalable and most decentralized solution, not to defend an earlier design. Really appreciate Michael taking the time to share his insights. Conversations like these are incredibly valuable. Technical feedback, criticism and contributions are very welcome! github.com/olafweller/kaspa-…

Manchester City have a 100% record in the Premier League this season. 6 games, 6 wins. But it's all fake. A sham. It's been served up by a squad that would not be playing for this club if they hadn't broken the rules. They've been able to attract the best players on the planet, by paying wages that the rules do not allow.

KCC-20 launchpad with a built-in miner covenant. Pays Kaspa miners on an emission schedule, and you can pledge above the minimum to show your token backs the network from day one. The pledge is in the genesis itself: no metadata, nothing to fake. Opens when KCC-20 goes final.

Michael Sutton: Kaspa’s token door just opened The KCC-20 reference app now has a public mint that grows and shrinks with demand, plus a seed frontier that mints zero-balance token UTXOs. Lock a little KAS, opt in, and anyone can enter the covenant without already holding the token. Someone else can then borrow-send you value by reusing your locked KAS, not their own. First step toward a shared Kaspa Token Lib. #Kaspa #KCC20 #Toccata #MichaelSutton #KTL

BREAKING: Trump: I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

President Trump and Putin are releasing 1000 000 tonnes of diesel onto world markets to ease the fuel crisis. Unelected PM Burnham told us to get an App. I think that sums it all up.
It looks as if President Trump and President Putin might have averted an imminent worldwide diesel crisis with its resultant catastrophic effects on our economy and living standards. Russia are to release 300 000 tonnes of diesel immediately onto world markets with another 500 000 tonnes for November. All this from the country we have been firing our Storm-shadow missiles at from Ukraine for the last 3 years and our leaders tell us are about to invade us at any moment. Wake up people
