My promise to New Yorkers: you will never see a billionaire who contributed 1 million to Trump's inauguration on my donor list.
A new letter from Indivisible Brooklyn takes aim at GOP-aligned donors to Maya Kornberg. Plus, it notes Kornberg's connection to one of those donors is a lot closer than she let on to us back in December.

ICYMI, a police surveillance startup valued at $3.5 billion quietly hired the sitting mayor of an entire city...

adds to evidence US surveillance is "fueled by a broken revolving door between industry and government" says @FoxCahn
Wow. Flock Safety (backed by @a16z) hired a sitting mayor of a California city with 200k residents.
That mayor is now suing Flock for wrongful termination, alleging Flock pressured him to use his position as mayor to benefit the startup

(1) We were already outraged to see the NYPD wasting tax dollars and all of our time on expensive and error-prone metal detectors, but we're even more concerned to see the NYPD threatening people with arrest if they refuse to enter the scanners. It's bad policy and it's illegal.
The @NYCMayor subway metal detector pilot underway: Mid concourse during rush hour. If youāre picked for the bag inspection and walk-through ā you also get to skip the fare apparently. You can decline bag search, but if you try to enter system youāre subject to arrest:
