Is this awesome? Hell yes it is. But for a second, think about just how impressive this really is. That's about 40 F-14 Tomcats flying over a floating death factory in the middle of the ocean. It takes so much time, work and money to keep those things airworthy, and in a few minutes, they could all do a U-turn and get parked right on that flight deck if need be. One after another could trap, taxi, park and be tied to the deck without a single mishap or safety incident. I'm guessing that's a fly-over before headed back to land for a much-deserved homecoming, which means they made it through an entire deployment and they're still ready to go. The United States has 11 Super Carriers. Second place is China with 3. I don't know how many of them work, but 3 is their bar. Just wanted to throw that out there. 😎
