Natasha Chin died in the most expensive women's prison in the country. £65k per annum, per place. Imagine if the money squandered on prisons was spent on housing, drug & alcohol treatment, support services in the community. That's how you meet people's needs & keep them safe.
A woman died because the most expensive, privately-run, female jail in England failed to deliver basic medical care to her as she lay dying in her cell.Sodexo, who operate the prison, clearly put profits before their duty of care.
