City feared Semenyo had suffered an ACL injury against Ipswich.
Fortunately that's not the case but he will be out for the next 6-8 weeks.

This is another example of just how ridiculous the Manchester City case has made the Premier League this season.
That Noni Madueke goal should have been a HUGE moment in the title race. The sort of goal that could define the first half of the season.
But instead, we're watching a title race involving a club found guilty of cheating, with the possibility of relegation hanging over them.
When City are punished, moments like this will end up meaning absolutely nothing.
It's making a complete mockery of the competition.

Manchester City danced with their own notoriety at Anfield and embraced their shame. A club found guilty of cheating is prospering. It was another bad day for the English game dailymail.com/sport/football…

Andy Burnham's intervention in the Manchester City affair was inappropriate, injudicious and badly, badly misjudged. It felt like a nod to the power of nation state ownership of English football clubs. It felt as if the Establishment was going in to bat for its buddies.

Everyone should (and will) be doing this.
Rightfully so.
Manchester United have conducted internal assessments of the extent of the economic losses the club has incurred which could be attributed to Manchester City’s breaches of Premier League financial regulations.
The Athletic reported earlier on Friday that an independent disciplinary panel had found City guilty of all but one of 115 charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules, according to sources briefed on the matter who spoke anonymously as they were not authorised to do so publicly.

A journalist needs to challenge Howard Webb on this.
Tunnel vision is an outcome, not the cause of the failure, as he asserts.
The tunnel vision occurred because VAR decided they only needed to assess Haaland BEFORE seeing any replays.
This is a total abandonment of VAR’s core principles.
That is far more serious than simple tunnel vision.
I’d also ask why they then made the choice to explicitly exclude this statement (and only this statement) from the captions. It looks like they’re trying to hide it.

Genuinely insane watching this
Not a single one of the so called professionals even mentioned that Enzo might be offside, like it didn’t even occur to them
Even casuals on football twitter looked at it right away and knew
How is that even possible
Enzo is offside and he goes for the ball
This is offside, not sure how it’s been allowed to stand.
Man City are 1-0 up but I have no idea how
Erling Haaland looks clearly offside
What is going on?? xitter.cf/MediaUCL7/status/20991…
