We talkin CHOP!!
Thank you as always to my man @RichardMoglen & the @TraderLion team for having me on. Really fun one on setting expectations, making adjustments to your strategy and focusing on process improvements to keep all that mental capital in these difficult periods.
Just listened back and my god the rambling at the end -- thought my daughter was a certified #yapper because of my wife. Might not be the case 😂😂
Remember -- you can't be mean to the birthday boy!! Thank you for watching if you do. 🫡

Once I'm out of my drawdown I'll probably be a shit poster Forte again but rn I do want to write down some notes for myself and maybe it'll help others too
For us tape readers, we don't want to focus too much on the chart. The moment we start relying too much on charts is kind of like when people are trying to look up information trying to justify their reasoning to hold a losing position. We want to focus on reading and not trading. Stare at the tape, make predictions, don't place orders and then watch it unfold. Get the rhythm back without bleeding to do it.
Trading size goes to the floor immediately, no moe "one more big trade" This type of thinking is poisonous and it's fine to think that way because we're humans, but don't act on it. Be more responsible with our money.
Lose early then just stop trading, it hurts but it is what it is.
These above are the procedures that I'm taking to not lose anymore money. Now, how to make money:
It's time to review all the setups that actually works...
How many more setups are actually still working? maybe 1/10? then trade that specific one and abandon EVERYTHING ELSE.
List out each setup and name them, create a graph
Setup A works - Setup A variant B works the best and so and so.
CUT anything with negative ev! Not losing is the same as winning.
Memorize the shape, texture, and the thickness of the tape that works. And STOP trading anything that doesn't look like it EVEN if the action is good. What the tape looks like is more important than what the price action of it will be.
Then, at the end of the trading day write down all the mistakes you've made. And for today my mistake were, continously trading on a tape that doesn't look perfect for more than 10 mins. I need to cut that down to 1-2 mins.
5-6 years ago I'd kill to be able to make 5-600 bucks a day. I'm trading with 1/10th the size right now trying to getting back to my roots. This drawdown is teaching me again that the market rewards adaptability. What worked last year is illegal this year.
Twitter is where I share my journey, so here are some updates.
Nothing to hide here; feel free to unfollow if i'm not profitable enough for y'all. This is just another unprofitable trader here. Got out of a 20k drawdown last month just to jump right back in.
My gf told me that I've been pretty miserable these days after trading, which I actually didn't even realize myself. I don't think I'm professional enough to be an emotionless trader.
💀Lowkey....I'm just a bad trader. I try to keep red days small but end up redder these days. After I go red I seem to try to make money on the tickers that I was green on and would end up losing those profits too. It also doesn't help that I've been getting flushed 10-20% in tickers within 1-2 seconds of entering it. That's just unlucky imo...idk if there are anything I can do about the getting flushed part but I think I can def work on not revenge trading.
I don't sell a course nor do I have any side income. Trading is my only source of it, so weeks of bad performance still do some damage to my mental, and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Also the idea that I'm losing anywhere from 2-5k a day makes me think that I'll be losing a million dollars a year, the fact that I could blow up by continuing to do this scares me actually. I guess I'm terrified of pressing the button and that leads me to miss out on some good setups too.
Welp, I guess that's all I wanted to share. Not giving up tho.
Day 1 green, I want to see this lasting for at least 3 days in a row before I can push the gas pedal. Good night fellas
I got a 2 week contact lens now in my eye. I'll be back to trading when I'm fully healed. Avoiding too much tape reading as I tend to forget to blink
Lowkey the moment our main character turns his stream on, the whole swing fintwit turns bearish. Hehexd
Woke up with pain in my right eye. Probably RCE flaring it up....I thought I fixed it after a month of eye drops and gels. I'm gonna go to the eye doctor again today, no trading(for the better)
