I understand this isn't fair. we pay trillions in taxes to a government that is supposed to educate our young people. but it's not doing that, and it's probably safe to bet it never will. your choices are building favor among the average american, or socialism.

Cliche, but: If everyone had to write a big check to the gov't every year (as opposed to having taxes withheld from paychecks), the conversation around gov't spending would be entirely different
Got a note from my CPA to send the IRS some serious money. Thinking I might go throw some tea in the harbor if anyone wants to meet up. Let me know.

Marc Andreessen: if you're the parents of a smart kid where I grew up [rural Wisconsin] and you think you're going to get them into a top university in this country, you're fooling yourself... What level of untapped talent exists in this country that a combination of DEI and immigration have basically cut out of the loop for the last 50 years? Marc: Nobody wants to talk about, but I've started to talk about the intersection of DEI and immigration that has really warped our perceptions on high skilled immigration over the last 50 years. You look at the foreign enrollment rates at the top universities, which went from 2 or 3 or 4 percent 50 years ago or whatever to 27% or 30% or 50%... Joe: Columbia's over half. Marc: 70% or whatever it is. And so there's been this massive transformation in who gets educated. And then there's been this massive transformation of who gets admitted through affirmative action, as we now know it, DEI. This goes straight to the political divide in the country, which is, if you're parents of a kid where I grew up [rural Wisconsin] and you've got a smart kid and you think you're going to get them into, you know, a top university in this country, like you're fooling yourself. There is this really fundamental question which is, what level of untapped talent exists in this country that a combination of DEI and immigration have basically cut out of the loop for the last 50 years? And how long can we have this story to everybody in the Midwest and in the South that says, sorry, because of historical oppression, your kids are SOL.

Property represents the stored value of time. When you destroy property, you fundamentally erase a human being’s time, never to be reclaimed. When you destroy property, you’re telling its owner(s), “I don’t give a f—k about you, and I don’t give a f—k about your finite time on earth as a person.” Pick up any physical object you own. There are three ways—and only three ways—by which it could have come into your life: 1. You created it 2. You purchased it 3. Someone gave it to you In the case of (1), you directly exchanged your time to make the object. In the case of (2), you exchanged your money (or some other store of value) in for it, after exchanging your time to earn said money. In the case of (3), someone else exchanged their time to procure the object before rendering it to you. That’s it. Those are the only three ways, and they all result from exchanged time. There’s no way around it. Property equals time, the most precious, irreplaceable substance in our lives and in this universe. Property shouldn’t just be respected; it should be cherished. I will never abide people casually destroying it.

🚨PALMER LUCKEY: "I am a big pro-natalist. I believe you need to have kids. If you don't have 2.1 kids minimum you're a traitor to the nation and our ideals. You're basically outsourcing responsibility for the continued existence of our nation to other people. That seems like a super elitist attitude, like you f**king elitist. 💀 It's like a mentality of 'I'll let the cattle reproduce. They can keep up the population but I don't want to raise more than one,' it seems like an abdication of responsibility for our nation's future direction that I just can't get behind. If you have the means to do it, its crazy to me to not have at least 2.1 kids. You can say 'I did my part. I met replacement rate. Meeting replacement rate should be the bare minimum. If you plan on dying you should at least replace yourself." LMAO. Based @PalmerLuckey. Based autist. 😂🔥

Average age of engineers and scientists in the Manhattan Project was 25. Our current gerontocracy is ahistorical. Perhaps one reason startups work so well is they are one of the few places that still let young people exert agency.
Fact: The avg age of NASA’s mission control team during the Apollo era was 27— they put humans on the moon. Young people bring a force of curiosity and creativity that can disrupt the status quo. If we’re serious about cutting waste in gov spending, let’s not turn away new minds
