Batman

A Batman Halloween Special, 'Ghosts' (Part one) (Solo) Read: tl.gd/n_1sq7ode

One day, if needed, the Batman will return.

"I've given all of myself to this city; I haven't slept in what seems like decade! The gunfire; I haven't heard anything since. It rings in both ears, reminding me that what I've given isn't enough! Why won't you let me sleep?! Just for one night... Please. Just. One. Night."

"I'll be what they need me to be: the symbol of fear, a monster under their bucking beds. I have the will and the drive. All that's missing is a face; my face."

Staying any longer would only end in a kiss, upon other things that could wait. Batman was gone for far too long and he needed to check up on his city before settling down for the night. Having turned her back on him, Batman uses this opportunity to leave her alone for now.

"I'm sure you were fine," he said, turning back to face the thief whose figure is blacked out by the shadows that engulfed these dirty rooftops. "I'm here now. I... missed you, Selina."

Actions speak louder than words, but Selina sent shivers down his spine. Gotham was his home, his playground, and he was back. The Barman has returned.

"I've been gone for far too long; Gotham needs the Batman, and the Batman needs Gotham."

"This is a city where crime never sleeps, and neither should I."

"Catwoman, it's been a while."

"Knight has returned to Gotham."

"The Knight is eternal."

(( Some dude unfollowed me because I asked him about the 280 character limit. Well alright then, that happened.

"Natasha. Natalia." Batman skims over files on the Batcomputer. She was his greatest mystery to unravel. "Who is the Black Widow?"

(( It's so hard keeping muse sometimes.

(( Writing is lacking. I need to change this.
