ForgeBase was a real spark of an idea: one home for memecoin communities. Then we saw the full breadth of memecoin depravity and realized hosting outside projects meant eventually sharing a roof, and a reputation with one that scams its holders. We noped the fuck out. ForgeBase never signs or sends transfers. I manually send USDC from the platform treasury, record the signature, and the system verifies it on-chain before calling anything paid. Today’s work included first-time Google sign-in, chat spam protection, support-case abuse limits, contract and buy discovery, message formatting, mobile and desktop chat bugs, traffic analytics, reward operations, account deletion, social previews, search indexing, private-message access, community insights, and a new Why ForgeBase page. I spent eight months building ForgeBase before launching $GOBBL. Now real people are arriving, using it in unexpected ways, breaking things, reporting what they find, earning bounties, and watching fixes reach production. $GOBBL is not the ForgeBase platform token. First forgebase.app bug bounty is going out: $12 USDC to @preciousprime07. orbmarkets.io/tx/4pZXKzHzTfA… During $GOBBL’s launch, PRIME found a beautifully stupid sign-in bug: a signed-out visitor could be routed toward a path protected by the same authentication they were trying to start. The door was effectively locked from the inside. The report was reproducible, blocked a core entry path, and gave me what I needed to trace the problem quickly. That earned this award. Important context: $12 is not a flat rate for every bug. ForgeBase reviews reports individually based on impact, reproducibility, report quality, and usefulness. Award amounts will vary. Reddit isn’t the meme discovery engine it once was. X is still great, but there’s a lot of noise and only a little signal. That’s what I'm trying to solve with #ForgeBase: one trusted starting point to discover a coin and understand the community behind it. Which communities are genuinely active today? What are people discussing and voting on? Where are the official updates? Is participation growing, or is it all temporary hype? Discovery, coin profiles, market context, hosted community rooms, Pulse activity, daily voting, polls, achievements, memes, rewards, and transparent project information, all connected in one place. As we get ForgeBase ready to reopen beta, here’s a look at what’s underneath it. The product is built with Next.js and TypeScript, backed by PostgreSQL and Redis, and runs on AWS. A separate realtime service powers hosted community chat rather than outsourcing the core experience to another platform. Birdeye provides indexed market, trading and holder data. We’re moving production Solana RPC to Triton for authoritative on-chain reads, treasury verification and reward payout reconciliation. Clerk handles identity, Sentry monitors production errors, and Resend supports transactional email. The goal isn’t to collect vendors. Each part has a clear job, with caching and durable usage controls to keep infrastructure costs predictable as communities grow. Solana is our first chain, but it isn’t intended to be our last. #ForgeBase is targeting Saturday morning for the public beta to resume. The pause wasn’t idle. I’ve made substantial progress toward a cleaner hosting model where every coin can feel like an independent community rather than an extension of ForgeBase. The relaunch is expected to include: • Coin-branded subdomains • Independent metadata and social previews • Stronger separation between ForgeBase and hosted coin identities • An expanded, coin-centric reward system • Additional community and owner tools And ForgeBase won’t reopen alone. A new independently branded coin will launch alongside the beta, with its own identity, domain, voice, and community. It is not a new ForgeBase platform token. It will be hosted under the same boundaries as every other coin. I’m not revealing it yet. But it’s hungry. #BuildInPublic

About 12 hours ago, we decided ForgeBase needed a cleaner boundary between the platform and the communities it hosts. That decision has already led to a major technical shift. Hosted communities can now have their own project-resolved domains, branding, social previews, media, authentication flows, and realtime experiences, without feeling like another page buried inside forgebase.app. The platform remains underneath, but the community owns the identity above it. Today, that means dedicated hosted domains. Tomorrow, the same foundation can support fully independent custom domains. What started as a product pivot is already becoming better infrastructure, and a much better ForgeBase.

I temporarily paused the ForgeBase public beta today. Not because of a security incident. Because someone raised a criticism that changed my mind. A thoughtful conversation with @cipherctl forced me to reconsider the platform’s relationship with its affiliated $FORGEBASE token. ForgeBase is meant to be neutral infrastructure for coin communities, but the platform and token share the same name. I initially believed clear disclosures and equal treatment would resolve that conflict. The more I considered it, the more I realized other coin owners could still reasonably question whether the platform was truly neutral. So I’m pulling promotion back while I work through a cleaner structure. $FORGEBASE remains on-chain. No replacement, migration, exchange, or distribution has been announced. Existing holders, contributors, reward commitments, and disclosures will be treated transparently before the beta resumes. Building in public means being willing to stop, listen, and correct the foundation—not just post the wins.
