Forest Hills: The Last Year

Citizens of Forest Hills! We are excited to share & confirm what we will launch with the Full Release of Forest Hills. ● Seven maps, including the maps from the original Last Year with updated lighting objects, bug-fixes, skybox & weather improvements (The Library, The Belltower, The Gym, The Sawmill, The Mine, The Forest, and The Cemetery). ● Six Fiends with new skins, emotes, and more (The Slasher, The Strangler, The Giant, The Spider, The Warlock, and The Dryad). ● Seven Displaced with new skins, emotes, and more (Sam, Nick, Troy, Chad, Raj, Amber, and Abigail). ● A brand new ability system for Fiends and a revamped Arcanum system. ● New dialogue for the Fiends & Displaced. ● New Music and SFX from our wonderful partners at Pixel Audio. Porting Forest Hills: The Last Year and all of its content to Unreal Engine 5.4 has been a massive undertaking, as we had to rebuild many systems from scratch to work within this version of the engine. We are proud of the work we have done so far and are eager to share it with you. That said, all of the studio has collectively decided to move our release date of Forest Hills: The Last Year to October 22, 2024, to ensure that the content coming meets our quality standards and yours as well. We know this may be a disappointment to some who have eagerly awaited our title. We sincerely appreciate everyone who was excited to play the new entry in the Forest Hills franchise. We want our first impression to be our best and show how much we love this franchise, which is why this is the best release date for the game. We hope you understand. If you’ve visited our Steam page recently, you might have noticed the release date has changed, and will not be releasing on the 22nd. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring Forest Hills to life, and we’re making sure it’s an unforgettable experience for all of you. For now, it's coming soon, but we are excited to share more in the near future. While we’ve adjusted our release timeline, this extra time will allow us to deliver the kind of game you deserve—one that not only meets but exceeds expectations. The passion and enthusiasm we’ve seen from you all have fueled our journey, and we’re committed to crafting something truly special. This project marks a major milestone for us, and we want to make sure it’s a release worthy of the excitement surrounding it. The delay gives us the opportunity to fine-tune the details, so when Forest Hills launches, it will be an experience that grabs your attention and holds it for the long haul.
