Damn I thought you knew your stuff as well.... Haha
Crystal Palace are in a particularly bleak period right now.
Understandably, with results, recruitment & performances, there is an overriding feel of despair & hopelessness for this season.
There are serious question marks over Oliver Glasner, and rightfully so, but he has all the tools to turn this ship around.
There are some pretty simple tools he can implement to start seeing real progress:
• For starters, ditch the 3 at the back setup. There is a reason very few sides in England utilise this shape.
• Glasner NEEDS to set up in a 4-4-2 OOP shape. The limp 5-4-1 is ineffective. Crystal Palace needs to become an incredibly difficult team to breakdown -
Mitchell-Guehi-Lacroix-Chalobah
* Chalobah over Munoz at RB for more security.
• Daichi Kamada is seriously lacking the physical levels to keep up with the Premier League. He needs to be dropped.
Season defining fixtures coming up as well.
A free hit vs Spurs. Wolves away. Fulham at home. Newcastle home.
I predict 8/12 points. See how the tide and mood will change…

Can we actually get AI to pick plastic out of the ocean, or do all the robots have to become screenwriters?
Thai people are incredible. I miss being amongst them
Thais are adapting to the flooding by reviving the “floating market” concept in areas around Bangkok, including Bang Kapi.
Videos of makeshift floating markets are trending across social media as residents of flood-stricken communities adapt to conditions on the ground.

My ZOO album has just turned ten years old, and so to celebrate it's now free on Bandcamp for a short time. I'm also working on a brand spanking new album and hope to get that out by the end of the year.

You’re seriously telling me you believe AI workers with access to super secret dangerous tech have no NDA in their contract and the reaction to them accusing their former employer of risking the future of humanity is the CEO saying “yeah we should slow down”? Bc they “care”? Lmao

the correct take on the AI risks. not "godlike machine that decides to kill us all" but "machine that makes it much easier for humans to kill one another."

when people think some crypto job is more rewarding than family time...
I'm torn internally when people take time off. Is this normal?
On the one hand, I want people to relax, enjoy time with their families and take a break. I genuinely want it.
On the other hand, it pains me so much when I know we could move faster. I don't understand how you can take time off knowing that a competitor is not.
In the end, I much prefer the latter rather than the former. I just struggle to admit it.

no disrespect to the north east at all - lovely area, great people
but if you think a 21 year old would prefer to live there over London... you crazy
Might be time to finally hang up my accordion 🪗 😢
97% of listeners can't tell the difference between fully AI-generated and human-made songs, one survey found.

These points are frighteningly accurate. Clubs are deliberately looking at long standing supporters, taking away long fought for rights and making basic things like season tickets a weapon to remove rather than a part of "ownership" and support of the club.
A study was done over a decade ago and they are right, stadiums are full of people my age, with previous few avenues for youngsters, the vibrant future of any club, to congregate together as a large, noisy, feisty and sometimes intimidating group.
I'm surprised Palace owners have let it get this far because with greatest respect to a club I started at, 90's Palace was old, Surrey based and "nice". HF undoubtedly have made Selhurst a prickly place to play so their attendance is proof that embracing positive supporter change works. And works well.
Going to be honest, not a fan of the mimickery by English supporters of European Ultras groups per se, we have a 150 year old raw, passionate culture and we do things differently, so that's my tuppence on the "look" of groups like HF rather than the extremely valid points they make, which I support 100%.
We've just come off the $1000 a ticket World Cup, we know tourists from afar's spend is more valuable to clubs that a season ticket holder who doesn't need to spend £600 in the shop, and we know that through a cost of living crisis, youngsters are finding cheaper teams to support ( a very welcome unintended consequence of Prem pricing) or move away from football entirely.
If I were shouting still on radio this is exactly the debate we'd be having tonight, rattling cages of those in power, inviting guests into squirm a little as they try to defend pricing, strategy and bringing more youngsters into stadia. Alas, the Premier League, like FIFA and UEFA want only happy clappy official broadcasters to " tell them how great we are ", so you won't find HF statement being answered by anyone relevant in football, they just ignore and ride it out. It's why we are where we are now.
I hope HF reconsider, and I hope good people like @CEO4TAG can find a solution, we need more, not less HF.
Football without hardcore fans, is nothing.
Football without tourists, is fine.
Look after those who've looked after uou for 150 years. Today, tomorrow and in the future. It's why English football IS so special.
