Our trustee @volbikaite3, joined the Public Housing Manifesto event at Barbican Centre last night. An excellent discussion on the need for more support in delivering public housing that consider equity!
Housing is a right and it must be treated as so.
'It was so great to hear reflections about the need for more activism in this space, challenging status quo and really driving for community engagement in the full project delivery. @mellishaward talked about how CLTs are a brilliant model to deliver affordable housing.'
Thank you to the panel for their honest reflections on how we might deliver affordable housing together. @archio_ltd @MikhailRiches

Our CEO, @tom_chance, and a team of CLH powerhouses @owenjarvis @MelissaMean @NatFdtnGary @CoopHousingUK met with housing minister @redditchrachel to talk what reforms are needed to scale up community led homes. What changes do we want? Here's a few asks:
communitylandtrusts.org.uk/n…
Really good meeting today with housing minister @redditchrachel about a long term strategy to scale up #communityledhousing - delivery capacity, finance and policy reform to make commonplace the ability of communities to commission and own the homes they want. Crack team!

There are 5,400 community led homes waiting to be unblocked. £50m would unleash groups so it's hard to hear that £1.9bn has gone unspent.
Please support the campaign for more supportive #communityledhousing policies by writing to your MP. More info here > communitylandtrusts.org.uk/n…

A big moment for CLTs as we welcome @clt_europe - and with it a stronger and more joined up CLT movement across Europe
And even better to be celebrating with so many of our UK members and friends @LeedsCommHomes, @ForestCLT, @LondonCLT & @CCLHCymru!
@ishf2023 #CLTsin23
Fantastic to be a part of the launch of @clt_europe at the @ishf2023 with three of our @CommLandTrusts members @londonclt @hopper_claude @Aya_Rehman and friends from across Europe, with a packed room for the main event and lots of sharing food and ideas.
Checking out a new location for our monthly board meeting today. A beautiful mixed use space from #HouseOfTransformation in Dalston. And also here's to continuing to build our network as we welcomed @healthy_hill!
Look out for our new posters in the borough!👀
Thanks to fab local businesses @hare_houndsE10 and Launderama for the support 💚
