Stop by Walsh Library tomorrow from 10am-12pm and get your @nypl card. It's free, it's here, it's the New York Public Library! Be there or be square. 😎

From spooky reads and classic horror to creepy movies and a few skeletons for good measure, our Halloween displays have everything you need to get into the spirit. Stop by Quinn Library, check out a scary good book or movie, and see what’s lurking on the shelves! 🕷️🦇

Banned Books, but make it borrowable! Think a book has been banned? Come see what the fuss is about! Our banned books display is full of challenged titles just waiting to be checked out. Stop by the Walsh Library Reference Desk & pick a book, and read for yourself.

Sometimes you find exactly what you need when you least expect it. This little note was left on the printer in the Walsh Reference Room, and we think it’s worth passing along: You got this.

Tonight is the autumnal equinox, aka the start of fall! 🍂 “Equinox” comes from the Latin aequus (equal) + nox (night), referring to the nearly equal length of day and night. This painting, “Autumn,” is from the George Thompson Art Collection
