You can’t overstate the importance of the first 45 minutes of the first day of class.
Students ask:
1. Can I trust you?
2. Is this a safe space?
3. Does my voice/perspective matter?
4. Can I succeed in this class?
5. Do you care about me? #edchat

#ThoughtForTheDay Take people as they are: Accept that people will disappoint you. They won’t work as hard as you think they should, they won’t meet the timeline you establish, & they may not carry themselves in the manner you expect. Love, trust & forgive them anyway. #Culturize
