🦆 After 2 years in the memecoin space, here’s what i’ve learned.
I don’t trust KOLs anymore.
and the past month has been an absolute disaster. it feels like every KOL is just trying to extract as much SOL as possible from their followers.
the playbook is always the same:
buy early with secondary wallets, then use their main wallets and influence to bring in buyers.
you can keep following them if you want, but personally, i’d stay far away from KOL-driven coins and focus on genuine community-driven projects.
if you’re new to crypto, here’s my advice:
never trust someone just because they have 100k followers on X or a huge following on pumpfun.
never buy a coin just because a famous account shilled it.
research the project, check the wallets, look at the community and think for yourself.
followers don’t equal credibility.
and remember, if you’re blindly following someone else’s trades, you might just be their exit liquidity.
