Being raised a Christian but later truly finding God on your own isn't talked about enough

I'd rather be mocked for taking Jesus too seriously…
than discover I never took Him seriously enough.

Desmond Bane explains the simple lesson from his aunt’s 30-year career at Red Lobster that helped him adjust after being traded to Orlando
“It was tough. It was tough for sure. I think conversations with my old lady, but one conversation that I had with my aunt Adria, she cooked for me during the season, she was here and I was asking her like, ‘Yo, you ever change jobs? Was it a little uncomfortable at first?’ And she was like, ‘Yes.’”
“She worked at Red Lobster for basically like 30 years or whatever. She worked like 15, 20 of them at Richmond, where I’m from. Very well respected, everybody in the city knows her. She’s like the mayor in the town.”
“And she go to Indianapolis. She’s a white lady. She go to Indianapolis, the spot was like all the workers was Black, all the clientele was Black. And she’s good with that. But where in Richmond it was all about pleasing the customer, in Indy it was about making sure that the staff was good because if the staff wasn’t good, they was going to be like, ‘Shit, I’m going home. I’m not about to deal with this.’”
“So she was like, ‘The goal was the same. We still trying to serve our shrimp scampi and our rolls.’ But it’s like the way you get there is different. And it’s like I’m in Orlando, the object of the game is still to win the game and do what you do, but the way we get there, who I get there with, is different.”
“So that kind of helped me be like, okay, this is normal. It’s normal to go through an adjustment period where you might not feel like how you felt at one time in Memphis. And I was looking at myself in the mirror like, well, maybe I need to reshape the way and who I think I need to be for this team.”
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on @1053thefan that he would like to play the Texans every year if he could.
“When they didn’t have a team, I was the lead dog in trying to get a team into Houston.
“I knew it was better for the Cowboys and better for interest to have a really great pro team in [Houston].”
