Saying goodbye to our furry friends is never easy. When that time comes, it is one of the most painful times in a pet parent’s life. 💔 Beau, at 13 years old, had a good, happy, long life, but his body was now failing him. Beau could no longer get up to go outside to use the bathroom; anti-inflammatory medications gave him little to no relief. Beau's mom has had complications from knee surgery and couldn't help Beau get back up on his paws, and life was getting extremely hard for both of them. While some cats manage through strict rest for 4-6 weeks and anti-inflammatory medication, Oliver’s condition has shown no improvement since his August accident; he continues to struggle with persistent pain and severe lameness. 💔 Surgery is now the only viable path forward. The planned extracapsular procedure uses a special suture to mimic a ligament, stabilizing the joint and preventing improper movement. The estimated cost is $3,462.00.
