“You get to these places, these little bumps in the road, where you feel like maybe you don’t have your uniqueness, you don’t have your individuality, you feel like you’ve kind of lost yourself,” he continues. “Some of that’s the transition from active addiction into recovery, where you’re learning who you are again and trying to find out who you are — and recovery does become who you are. This is a way to have that space in a safe environment where you can be authentically you.”

Tom Farley kicked off our Las Vegas weekend at Foundation for Recovery, speaking with clients about hope, healing, and the power of community. At Crossroads, he and Dr. Mike met with people in treatment to share that recovery is possible. At another stop, a portrait of his late brother, Chris Farley, became a moment to reflect on loss and connection, surrounded by the recovery community.
That night, 777+ volunteers hit the streets for Narcan at Night, handing out 15,000 doses of free naloxone across the valley.

Our Member Living program helps young adults rebuild independence and stability with six months to one year of no-cost housing and job training. Last week students completed the Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification course, learning new skills in recovery coaching, group facilitation, advocacy, documentation, and confidentiality. Graduates are on their way to completing a 500 hour supervised internship and taking the state board exam before earning their certification. By mobilizing the recovery community, we’re training the next generation of behavioral health leaders in #Nevada and closing the workforce shortage gap!

Every August 31, International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) brings a global community together to take action on overdose. For 25 years, communities have organized to remember those we’ve lost and to take action to save lives.
The truth is, we shouldn’t still need this day. But we do. In 2024, the CDC estimated 80,391 drug overdose deaths in the United States, a decrease of 26.9% from the 110,037 deaths in 2023. This is the lowest number of projected deaths since 2019.
Almost all states experienced decreases in total overdoses in 2024, with only #nevada and South Dakota registering small increases compared to 2023.

The Recovery Clubhouse is a social collective of people and families recovering from addiction and mental illness. Because recovery also happens over a cup of coffee. ☕ Around a shared meal. Through regaining employment, exploring passions, and finding purpose. In a conversation with someone who understands. Through volunteering, learning to lead, helping someone else, or simply having somewhere safe to belong.
The Clubhouse helps bridge the gap between getting into recovery and building a life in recovery.
