I think all in all, fans wouldn’t be going off at every small thing if the club was actually winning. Personally feel like winning solves A LOT of problems internally and externally

This has to be one of the most unexpected things to happen at Essendon in a while. And that’s saying something
Essendon and Richmond will be taking Dreamtime to Perth in 2027. It will be a second Dreamtime game. First in SDNR at the MCG, the second at Optus in NAIDOC week. The two clubs are selling a game each to generate cash. It’s a two year deal - Essendon home game in 27, Richmond in 28. But - members are expected to have extra seating arranged at away MCG games to make up for the home game heading West. More on @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne shortly.

Amazing to look back and have 4 of the top 6 all tied to clubs. Though, I think Essendon still take Robey even in an uncompromised draft
2025 AFL Draft Rewind - Top 10 1. Willem Duursma (West Coast) 2. Zeke Uwland (Gold Coast) 3. Harry Dean (Carlton) 4. Cooper Duff-Tytler (West Coast) 5. Dylan Patterson (Gold Coast) 6. Daniel Annable (Brisbane) 7. Sam Cumming (Richmond) 8. Sam Grlj (Richmond) 9. Sullivan Robey (Essendon) 10. Jacob Farrow (Essendon) @aflratings_GM

Have the feeling Essendon are going to absolutely stuff up Cals phantom draft this year 😂

Watching some draft videos Would not be surprised if are looking at Jake Soutar. Reads the ball and knows when to go really well. A lot of Tom Stewart about him. Gabe Patterson another interesting one, doesn’t look fast, but has X factor and can take a mark, kinda like Lohmann

To in summary, our period was basically: Give: Merrett, Ridley, pick 21 Get: Coleman, Bowes, pick 17, 25, 2027 1st, 2 x 2028 2nds Looking at it in totality, it’s pretty solid

Not taking into account bid match’s, Brisbane can match pick 13 with effectively no deficit. Think with picks moving, they could match at pick 10 with a 140 odd deficit. Wonder if they’d cop that deficit

Happy to get Kiddy, but Lions can go and get stuffed
Kiddy Coleman and pick 25 for picks 21 and 27. Done deal.

Solution for Coleman Pick 21 for Coleman and 25 Then trade 25 and 27 to GWS for pick 20 And everyone is in a worse position except us
Trade approved. Brisbane trade 2026 Round One Pick 20 and 2026 Round Three Pick 59 to GWS GIANTS for 2026 Round Two Picks 25 and 28 in the 2026 Telstra AFL Draft.

Wowee, we were never getting close to that deal
🚨 Richmond has secured Port Adelaide's pick No.5 in a trade. Deal is DONE and will be processed this afternoon, giving the Tigers picks 2 & 5. Tigers get: Pick No.5 Port gets: Richmond's 2027 Rd1 pick, 2027 Rd2 pick, 2027 Rd4 pick and pick 22 this year. @traderadio @AFLcomau

Why 27 is fair for Coleman (imo) - Has barely played last 3 years - Not best 23 in his current team - There is still an injury risk 21 is much more valuable to Essendon than Bris, who are just dealing in points. At our stage, if we spend 21 and he is injured a lot, we’d cop it

I think there’s a bit of misconception around bid matching floating, as I’ve seen a few suggest trading 21 for Coleman and 42, so we can use 42 to match Justice. We don’t actually need it if he slides past 36, we just need a pick, we can match it with pick 80. And 🧵 1/2

If the bid came before 36, 42 is worth a 202 points, so would still be 100 short if the bid came at 35, so wouldn’t really be worth much getting 42

Brisbane are the most surprising club with deals in the last 2 years. Can’t bag them if they hold Coleman since he’s contracted, but not trading Ah Chee and letting him go through to the PSD was strange, now driving a hard bargain when needing points, and being UFA next year

If they are adamant, would we take a slide from 17 to their 20, and give them 17? Ie get Colman and 20 Give 17 and 27 Would then have 3 picks in a row, potentially might only be 2 pick slide if Carlton don’t trade 18 and use it to match
Obvious Essendon lens but 27 is very fair for bloke that’s barely played in their ones for the last 3 years

Essendon has offered pick 27 for Keidean Coleman. The Lions want one of the Bombers’ earlier picks - 17 or 21 - but Essendon has made clear those two aren’t on the table. @AFLcomau @TradeRadio

An underrated thing that Essendon are doing is bringing in support around McGrath. Lose Merrett who helped, but add in Banfield and Bowes, potentially Coleman, is valuable, and they don’t have the pressure of being our best player week in week out

I’d love Kiddy, but only for 27 or maybe 21 and a pick back this year or in the future. Big note on Banfield though, I think he’s a great addition for off field purposes
Keidean Coleman has his eyes on Essendon and has met with the Bombers. At this stage it looks like Coleman's options are down to staying or Essendon, but Brisbane's asking price of a top-20 pick remains in place. Inside Trading👇 @RileyBev @JoshGabelich afl.com.au/news/1631372/insi…

This would easily make the least sense of our entire list build
Stringer met with Mark McVeigh this morning at a cafe. They have a family connection - Jake is married to his cousin. Stringer camp is hopeful of securing a list spot. Bombers have higher priorities to get through. Plenty to play out. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne
