Brussels to Bruges is easy. Takes under an hour and trains are every 15-20 mins. Got a taxi from hotel to train station. Just a few mins from centre. Lots of buses too. We stayed at Grand Hotel Casselbergh. Was lovely. I’d stay in the centre if you can.

Where did you book in the end? Bruges is lovely. Spent last Christmas there.

They’re actually very quiet but do have a couple of hours of bouncing off the walls. I could do without the constant stink of cat pee and having to get the carpet cleaner out every 5 minutes. Other than that….
