Watched two fantastic games of football today.
Barca v RM and Man City v Chelsea, we should be talking about the quality of the match not the poor quality of the officials but unfortunately refereeing standards are just nowhere near what these professionals deserve.
On the @alanbrazil 🦖 dinosaur debate:
It’s fine to say you don’t care, it’s fine to say the majority of men and many women don’t care about women’s football.
But there is a growing population of people who do care.
🧵
And anyone with daughters and granddaughters who slate women’s football, sport or any other female opportunities are actively contributing to those opportunities being held back from those they supposedly care about.
🧵
Are these people really so ignorant that they don’t see they are impacting the futures of their own children and grandchildren or does their misogyny come first?
👏 @shebahn for calling a dinosaur a dinosaur. If only they were extinct.
Feel sorry for Chloe Kelly but the fact that the game has grown so much is one of the reasons City can’t let her go to United.
She could help Utd qualify for Champions League instead of City.
Has to go abroad or to a lower club.
That’s how elite football works.
tbf, I would’ve given Renee Slegers the permanent job just based on her “the high trees catch all the wind” analogy of Leah Williamson getting crucified when she had a dip in form

London please help. I’m praying for a miracle, I’ve just got into the office and noticed my mums locket (in all these photos) that I wear every day has fallen off my neck on my walk in. My mum died when I was seven and her jewellery is most of what I have of her. I’m devastated
McCabe’s powerful free kick stings the keeper’s hands.
Good chances for both sides in the opening minutes.

So… the majority of the US voters are misogynistic and/or racist
Or there’s something fraudulent happening (not beyond the realms of possibility given the history of Trump)
I just don’t know how else we get to this in 2024!!
Russo got a touch to the ball, so it’s never a penalty. VAR available but not used to overturn an incorrect decision 🤦🏽♀️
The fact Jess Carter kept coming out of position to cover gaps on the right shows how out of sorts the central defenders have been and not enough cover provided by midfielders

Williamson and Bright are two of the best CBs in the world when they’re on form but Greenwood should walk into this team based on current form and consistency.
