"CAS found that there was insufficient evidence to uphold the CFCB’s conclusions in this case and that many of the alleged BREACHES WERE TIME-BARRED due to the 5 year time period foreseen in the UEFA regulations." @ManCity ARE guilty, but their crimes are too old to be punished!

Here's the MoS story as it appears in the paper. And to be clear, it was a minority section of Man City's support who invoked Helen's death in their attacks against me. I rarely even referred to her illness before she died.
The human cost of reporting on Man City’s cheating for 15 years. It’s on the Mail website today and will be in the MoS paper tomorrow (Sunday) but they backed my reporting 100%. That reporting continues on my Substack. Google it for details. dailymail.com/sport/football…

Almost 4 months still haven't received my refund. They've actually just stolen my money. My bank have confirmed I didn't receive the refund but customer service do nothing.
Replying to @BandQ_Ireland
@BandQ_Ireland been trying to get a refund for an undelivered item since early June. Was told on 3 occasions it would be sent, then that I had already received it (confirmed by my bank that isn't the case). On 13 July I received a call asking for my bank details. Still nothing

IFR Chair David Kogan said: “The independent commission’s decision raises serious issues. The IFR has powers to assess the suitability of owners, directors and executives and we will use these powers where appropriate, in the interests of protecting the sustainability, honesty and integrity of English football where there is clear evidence of wrongdoing by individuals.  This includes taking account of findings made by the Leagues. However, as the proceedings remain ongoing between Manchester City and the Premier League we will await further developments. We hope it can be resolved quickly for the sake of fans. For now, we have no further comment.”

Two minutes and 55 seconds without blinking once. Did Manchester City use AI to 'improve' this video of their chief executive claiming there is a Premier League conspiracy against the Abu Dhabi-owned club?

Here it is. PL verdict on @ManCity. “An independent Commission has found Manchester City FC guilty of all charges related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over a nine-season period, and the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate with the League’s investigation.”premierleague.com/en/news/47…

🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Premier League confirm an independent Commission has found Manchester City GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over a nine-season period, and the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate with the League’s investigation. The club has the right to appeal the independent Commission’s findings and has until Friday 2 October to exercise that right. The Premier League Board’s intention is that the full process (including any appeals and publication of relevant decisions) is concluded as soon as possible. The independent Commission found that between Seasons 2009/10 and 2017/18: - Manchester City arranged ‘sham’ contracts (which misrepresented the true agreement between the parties) with a number of its commercial partners, as well as relying on ‘sham’ agreements with others, to artificially inflate the club’s revenues and reduce its costs - The club filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators - Manchester City was significantly in breach of both the Premier League’s and UEFA’s spending limits - During the Premier League’s investigation, Manchester City committed multiple breaches of its duties of co-operation and utmost good faith towards the League (three of the four alleged breaches were upheld)

Remember Football Leaks – the website that first exposed Man City? The whistleblower behind it now lives in witness protection, but he was tweeting about City on Friday... More from @JWTelegraph ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/sport/2026/0…

Couple of weeks touring around historical sites in Ireland really does shed a lot of light on why their people take a pretty dim view of genocidal colonial powers.

"seven players were found to have participated in the scandal and were banned for life" Ok, so, ban Man City for life. It was the players who organised it btw, not the owners... But, as you want to be completely obtuse, we'll stick to the same punishment for the rule breakers.

Ireland played Germany in 1936, long before any notion of genocide. Ireland are playing Israel now after 3 years of fully televised genocide. There is no comparison

I love this way of thinking by Adam Crafton. And why the Glazers and Ineos' message to fans is -- humbug. With knowledge of indisputable facts, it is for example simply not possible to sit down in an interview with Omar Berrada, hear him talk about competing for a title, and go away 'fairs, sounds like they got a plan, exciting'. It is complete humbug. Nothing else. It is like the owner of Everton telling their fan base that United and Liverpool should start to look over their shoulders, because they got a credible plan to become a top 3 club in the PL this or next season. Many will inevitably believe that comparing the relative strength between City and United with the relative strength between United and Everton is an exaggeration -- but it is not, everything considered. In its Q4 report, United forecasts a revenue of £740-760m. What does that mean? Arsenal's revenue in 25/26 was £812m. And revenue is not even United's big problem, it is lack of owner support and financing costs. @TheAthleticFC / @CWeatherspoon_ confirmed yesterday that United's wage bill was £168m behind City's. To match what City pay their player squad -- United must sign 17 new players each earning 200k a week. Leicester won the league with the 3rd lowest wage bill. Of the last 11 titles, 8 have been won by the team with the highest wage bill. The difference between Leicester's wage bill in 15/16 and the then highest wage bill in the PL, Chelsea's, was £159m. In other words, there is a bigger gap between United and City's wage bill now than it was between Leicester and Chelsea's wagebill in 15/16. I have seen this coming miles off, and even 3-4 years ago it started to scare me a lot. The below are the three factors that has made it possible for United to fall miles behind its rivals in a perfect storm -- with barely anyone noticing it: 🔺United has never paid top player wages. The annual reports of all clubs are available at the Companies House. Below is an example from 19/20. City with 477 employees had a total wage bill of £351m. United with 992 employees had a total wage bill of £284m. City's total wage-bill was £67m higher than United's. United had 415 more employees, so the difference on a player wage bill level was surely closer to 100m. In the midst of the Woodward era. Equivalent to 10 players earning 200k a week. The accountants appointed by the Glazers running MUFC leaked absurdly exaggerated player wages to the media, in all likelihood to make it seem like the Glazers supported United more than they did. 🔺The revenue of PL clubs, and consequently the resources it has to buy players and pay wages, are increasing very rapidly. This comes from the PL becoming the super league -- but also from the new Champions League which is insanely profitable for PL clubs. Consequently -- the resources available for rivals to MUFC to pay in wages and transfer fees has increased very significantly. 🔺The owners of our rivals are supporting their teams a lot more today than 5-10 years ago. The difference in income from broadcasting between a Championship club and bottom 5 PL club is about £110m. A big PL club in the CL earns about £100m. From a financial point of view, you could make the argument that the difference between being in the CL or not is as big as the difference between being in the Championship and the Premier League. Guess what -- the owners of rivals of MUFC have recognized this. City is the only one who always got support. But the owners of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottentham and Aston Villa used to be "cheap" and moderate with the support they provide to their teams. Just like a few teams in the Championship are spending like crazy to get up to the Premier League -- these clubs are spending a ton to get into and establish themselves as regular Champion Leauge teams. This created the following result: United started of at a level that was barely competitive, far from the top, and slashed the investments in the squad. All United rivals were already investing as much as United and in many cases a lot more, and have subsequently increased their investments in the squad very rapidly. The fans of Manchester United needs to be told what the plan is and if there is no plan, we deserve to be made aware of it.
I would like Man Utd to explain their plan for how the team remains (becomes?) competitive while funding both a new stadium and ongoing debt. It would require nigh-on perfect recruitment over a sustained period of time (which gives extremely little margin for error).

The UK government was asked to release correspondence about Man City’s charges and refused to disclose parts of it under Section 27 of the Freedom of Information Act — because publication could “prejudice relations” between the UK and UAE. Just a normal football case, obviously.
