Imagine, Nemo mortar company firing MRSI salvo with DPICM rounds...
Replying to @JkDiz18
Poland needs to license-build these killing machines, a 120 mm mortar round carrying 54 DPICM grenades, with a range of 12 km (which seems like a lot for a mortar).

Slovakia has successfully launched local production of Finnish 8x8 Patria AMV XP armored vehicles. The Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic has concluded an intergovernmental agreement with Finland for the purchase of 76 armored combat vehicles worth EUR 447 million in 2022. The first few 8x8 Patria AMV XP vehicles were produced in Finland, configured with a Turra-30 turret and a 30 mm gun. Slovak employees were to take part in this. According to the contract, after the eighth vehicle was delivered, production was moved to Slovakia. CSM Industry at Tisovec announced the start of local production AMV XP.

Infantry Yearbook (jalkavaensaatio.fi/wp-conten…) is always an excellent way to catch up on the recent development. I conjured a fictional and biased story of Russian assault getting hammered by the capabilities depicted in the yearbook.

The risk figures are mind boggling. First of all the dispersion for 155mm at max range should exceed 450m by a lot and shouldn't tube artillery have different figures depending on angle to axis of fire. Otherwise the tables show pretty well the strenghts and weaknesses

Some snippets from "Tykistö taistelee tulellaan" book, (Artillery fights with its fire). -Tactical fires is supporting the operation at that moment and for that light RL batteries, regional units' artillery, mortars, AT units, organic FOs, target designation from recce,

issuu.com/vishmeh/docs/arm_1… Sometimes I wonder why do I even bother reading all these articles about artillery anymore because they're all the same. Improved FCS this, MRSI that, shoot&scoot those. Passive shot detection and location, I would devour that article. Force protection
