“We’re in a war” Also Ford gov’t: $100M to Starlink, FedCap on ODSP jobs, Staples on procurement, WSIB buying US, and a 250+ employee loophole for US subsidiaries. Slogans don’t build Ontario. Cancelling contracts does. #ONpoli

This is incorrect.
@fordnation’s $750 Staples School Supplies Scheme removes $300/classroom from Ontario schools and only funds homeschool teachers- not prep, art, music, gym, library, tech, rotary French. Why won’t @PaulCalandra just fund our schools properly?
Congratulations #KIDSChildcare graduates, families and teachers on Preschool graduation, a very first milestone in the educational journey!
@ONgov introduced #ClassroomSupplyFund - $750 to every elementary school teacher for classroom materials.

Fully reject the “don’t be mean to AI” sentiment. I cannot be mean to a soulless, lifeless, trumped up Clippy that behaves like a lazy, lying intern that is also the boss’ nephew. In fact, any verbal abuse of AI by myself is a valiant and ethical strategy in the ongoing class war

I just got off the phone with the owner of Finch…despite the fact we saved the store from zoning challenges, the landlord is doubling the rent… so they’re throwing in the towel.
Last day of business is today. Their sister store, Martin, will close at the end of the weekend.

He's worked in Federal politics and he has no specific ideas?
No actual policies he wants to champion?
Man is admitting he's gonna drop into party lockstep and offer nothing real.

There's a lot about working behind the scenes and unique perspective, but I'm left wondering why, after a decade as an assistant, and vying for the job for 3+ years, the Liberal candidate doesn't seem to have any concrete policy positions or plans for BEY. tanveer.liberal.ca/

Really enjoying watching @Progressivista cook the liberals repeatedly. They have nothing and the third candidate is really nice to be chatting about history to give everyone a break

But jokingly suggesting he needs to get jumped is somehow unacceptable.
LoL but the people who get upset with that reveal they aren't serious either. At least I'm upfront about it.

When u ask someone from Montreal what culture it has that Toronto lacks, they never bring up the large francophone diaspora communities that built modern Montreal (e.g Haitians, Congolese, Lebanese, etc.)…its just white francophone Quebec culture…like ok

Increasingly clear that unless Beaches voters send a very strong message to Carney, he will revive this idiotic Doug Ford plan the second this byelection is over

In the absence of an MP I reached out to our Beaches-East York MPP for clarity on the YTZ expansion, a critical issue for our riding.
I have yet to hear back.
We also haven’t heard anything further about this from the Liberal candidate.
Maybe hoping this will all blow over?
ALT “Definitely it would be (an election issue),” another woman stressed. “I wouldn’t vote for anyone who would be interested in expanding the airport. “I don’t like people speaking from two sides of their mouth,” she added, referring to Carney’s recent comments that have muddled the issue. “I like straight forward answers and I think people at the beach have made their will known. We don’t want the airport here and it’s not just for the residents of the beach, it’s for the whole city.”

Sadly, I’m not at all surprised to hear this @fordnation Minister is MIA. Last year, when we had a major sewage spill in Beaches-East York, it took days for his office to act. They didn’t even know what I was talking about when I called days after the spill was first reported.
Narrator: Ontario officials are not, in fact, "on the ground assisting".
There is an active environmental disaster at the former GM plant and not one prov official has acknowledged this. We need @ToddJMcCarthy and team on site assessing.

I am genuinely frighteningly surprised that people aren’t talking about bigotfest in North Bay recently. Ignoring it won’t make it go away. It’ll just proliferate and Canadians love to ignore what’s happening in front of their faces. That’s the anxiety

So if the Prime Minister already knew in January that Doug Ford was going to push forward with the Billy Bishop expansion, why did he say in May he still had not formed an opinion? Why did his Toronto MPs stay so silent? Why did Transport Canada launch a bogus survey in June?
