Don't mind me, just making a pinned to remind myself of what I'm aiming to do. And that's on top of me finishing school at year's end, my mind. Just need to gain and retain focus again is all. I know I can do it!
Putting this up for people (mainly a certain someone) that thinks Bille and Alice's designs are the "worst designs in WDAS history" (it's not lol).
I understand why some are going to say "Wildwood overrated" soon, but cmon guys. The DP is moving the camera like it's a regular animated movie, you all know that this is way more difficult to do with all this stuff happening on the screen with small figures!
New clip from LAIKA's ‘WILDWOOD’.
The film follows a girl who enters a magical forbidden forest to rescue her kidnapped baby brother.

You read right - the hand drawn opening was done by the incredible Tyler Pacana. And we have additional hand drawn anim mapped onto 3d elements as well as a couple scenes on 1s, 2s, and 4s concurrently. Looks incredible. The Stitch short that plays in front of #Hexed is a combo of hand drawn, CG and water color. We are trying many new things on this film. And even more things on our films in the future…

Clay will be a completely new approach and asthetic - meant to look tactile, like claymation. Like nothing we’ve made before. You all wanted new art styles…. They are coming.

It’s nice to see the director of Hexed support Wildwood as well. Know it’s not a big competition
