All eyes are now on Columbus for the US Open Cup Final and good news for @stlCITYsc fans: I can confirm that the club will be wearing their Forever CITY Red kits for the Cup Final. #AllForCITY

I think there's still an argument to be made that Fall/Baumgartl/Polvara can be our best CB grouping. But I also hope people realize just how important Chris Durkin actually is to our on-the-ball success. I think Durkin deserves a similar type of kudos that we often give Totland/Wallem for how well they've grown into this system. His clearing concussion protocol and returning for the US Open Cup Final will be hugely important for CITY. #AllForCITY

I'm almost always the one who will try to find takeaways, positive or negative and make every match meaningful. But this isn't one of those games for me. We started 5 players today who should start the US Open Cup Final - Bürki, Baumgartl, Polvara, Totland & Becher. We ended w/4 who should start: Bürki, Baumgartl, MacNaughton & Edelman. This felt like our team from March but with less quality. The trick will be to mentally not let this affect them because quality-wise, this should be an unfortunate record-ending blip in our run. #AllForCITY

FT and the streak ends here. Minnesota defeats @stlCITYsc 3-2 after 3 2H goals and if anything - we see the true depth work this roster needs to take the next step as they clearly prioritize Wednesday's USOC Final match. Tough to try and take too much away knowing how little of the issues we saw today will (hopefully) inform a single match from here on out but the aggressive nature and lack of cohesion from CITY in the 2H while up cost them. Their 19 matches unbeaten in MLS end as T-1 all time w/Miami, Dallas & Columbus (only CITY & Dallas are within a single season). It's on to the US Open Cup Final and for better or worse, there's no streak to consider. Nothing but that one match that matters right now. #AllForCITY

We talked about it on @FlyoverFooty but seeing Simon Becher continue on in the 2H makes a lot of sense. He hasn't played more than 45' in a match since the USOC Semifinal on 9/16 and we need him capable of going 120' on Wednesday. #AllForCITY

Through the 1H today, Rafa Navarro has 8g w/@stlCITYsc in 571 minutes and he had 10g for COL in 1,973 minutes in MLS play. That's 1g/71 minutes for CITY & 1g/197min for Colorado. #AllForCITY

HT. @stlCITYsc lead MNUFC 2-0 after a couple of pre-10' goals from Sangbin & Navarro. Navarro the MOTM so far with 1g/1a but it's the CITY defense that's held strong after many pushes by MNUFC. Bürki's come up huge too when needed. Minnesota's won field tilt so far while CITY's used their high pressing and hugely efficient shot taking to create this advantage. And the half ended w/CITY seeming to wear down Minnesota. Looking for fresh legs like Mǎțan/Holse/Downs to impact the attack for STL in the 2nd half but Damet's in such a good position right now that you just look for CITY to hold, so Damet can focus on his team's needs vs chasing anything. #AllForCITY

We're seeing 2 things come to fruition in the 1H that I expected to see: 1. A very efficient CITY team. They've been better & better at converting their high % chances & they've done that twice. 2. Possession/deep defensive struggles w/the rotation. #AllForCITY

With their 1st goal at just 4' of #MINvSTL, @stlCITYsc has now scored 1st in 5 of their last 6 (that 0-0 drawing the exception). And in those 5 games, they have a total of 5 goals scored within the 1st 10'. MNUFC on 9/12 was the last time they didn't score 1st. #AllForCITY

NAVARRO OPENS IT JUST 4 MINUTES IN! Rafa Navarro with a left footed strike on a rebound after Totland is taken down in the box, ball opens up to Becher who gets a shot on target and Navarro able to scoop up the 2nd chance from the left side of goal. 1-0 #AllForCITY

Becher, Polvara, Totland, Baumgartl, Bürki. Those are the 5 names in today’s #AllForCITY XI who will almost assuredly start on Wednesday. Sangbin/Fallou w/potential to play impact roles too. All eyes on their health today.

This @stlCITYsc XI is the definition of rotating before the biggest match in club history. 5 total changes, the most ever under Damet match to match in MLS and 2 homegrowns in the XI in Joyner & Perez w/a CM duo we haven’t seen before. And no Durkin or Wallem but CEB named to his 1st CITY matchday roster. #AllForCITY
