"Late Night" had a huge impact on American humor and comedy.
Somebody asked me my favorite television show of the 80s. It took me a minute, but I think it has to be Late Night with David Letterman. What’s yours?

Talarico wants to open the border in the name of “Democracy”. Do not let this freak anywhere near power.
James Talarico hates Texas. He hates America. When a Leftist calls for “Democracy” they really mean “Communism”. Talarico wants to turn America into Western Europe. Don’t let him.

Outgoing RINO Senator @ThomTillis gleefully shows a Politico reporter the countdown clock on his phone for what he says is guaranteed Republican defeat in the upcoming midtermS: "This thing that's going to happen 20 days from now that I have on my countdown clock as whoop ass."

Mustang Sally is a perfect example of how one reckless act can destroy a future someone else has spent years trying to protect. He’s the kind of guy who mistakes being entertaining and fearless for being untouchable. But when his temper takes over, the consequences stop being funny. His violence puts other people in danger, and suddenly the people around him have to decide whether loyalty is worth the risk of keeping him around. That’s what makes The Sopranos so effective at portraying this world. Nobody gets to judge a man only by his intentions or his reputation. Eventually, his actions force everyone else to deal with the damage. And in Tony’s world, the people making those decisions rarely have clean hands themselves. They aren't necessarily asking whether something is right; they're asking whether someone has become too dangerous to keep around. Mustang Sally’s problem isn't just that he loses control. It's that he lives as though someone else will always be there to absorb the consequences. Source:

Thought experiment:
JUNIOR. CAMINERO. He rips a two-run jack off the foul pole, then stops 80% of the way to first base to turn, look at the crowd, and pound his chest before continuing around the bases. This is what postseason energy looks like. The Rays are gonna do it.

An evisceration of CFP expansion from CMU coach Matt Drinkall, who says college football is on a "downward spiral" toward a "dumpster fire" and that executives will "prostitute" the sport for financial gain until "people stop caring, just like they did with boxing in the 20s."
Here is (part) of Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkall's quote in opposition to the proposed 24-team College Football Playoff:

I guess what I don’t understand about Bushworld supporting Democrats is how they think they can restrain the party’s ascendant socialists any more than they could restrain MAGA.
BUSH BOMBSHELL: Barbara Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush, donated $2,500 to a PAC backing Texas Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico — a direct cross-party move at a critical moment for Republican hopes of holding the U.S. Senate seat. FEC filings confirmed the contribution to Lone Star Rising PAC, which accounts for nearly all of Talarico's outside spending. Analysts say the real story isn't the dollar amount — it's that Bush made zero effort to hide her identity. She could have routed the money through a 501c4 and stayed completely anonymous. She chose not to. Barbara Bush, 44, currently serves as VP of social impact and inclusion at the NBA and lists a Brooklyn address on her filing. The Bush family has long been rumored to have a frosty relationship with President Trump dating back to the 2016 campaign, when Trump mocked both his mother and brother during that race. There it is. I mean we all knew it was coming. When you have to duck, you duck behind the old faithful “sexism” charge. Back in the day, it used to work. “Sexist”. “Racist”. “Bigot”. Not anymore. Now it just means you’re above the target. Elissa sees her career imploding.
