Oh, this app told me I was wrong and Hurts and his camp are at odds with the #Eagles.
Still waiting for the apology to the #Eagles organization blogs.
Noteworthy:
“Hurts' team considered Roseman, specifically, "exceptional" throughout the process when it came to Hurts' health, per source. He was 'extremely hands on' throughout, 'worried about Jalen's health more than anything else,' the source added.”

I covered the Chris Maragos trial with @oonagoodinsmith. Most days we were the only reporters in the room, and we broke the news about the verdict.
The most common mistake people make about this trial is bringing in the Eagles, who weren’t defendants in the case. 1/2
Let’s talk about the Chris Maragos case… aka the one where a Philly jury hit Eagles doctors with a $43.5 million verdict for negligently ending a Super Bowl captain’s career.
Maragos tore his PCL (with meniscus issues) in a 2017 game vs. the Panthers. Dr. James Bradley (longtime Steelers doc) did the surgery; Rothman Orthopaedics (Eagles team docs) handled rehab.
Plaintiffs argued the meniscus wasn’t properly addressed and rehab was advanced too aggressively (including running) despite a 2018 MRI showing persistent problems. That caused further damage and forced retirement in 2019.
Defense said the meniscus was stable and more surgery would have done more harm than good.
After a two-week trial (Nick Foles, Trey Burton, and Jordan Hicks testified), the jury found negligence in under three hours.
Liability: Bradley 67% ($29.2M), Rothman 33% ($14.3M). An economist put lost earnings at ~$8.7M as the floor; the rest reflected pain, limitations, and future care.
The verdict was upheld on appeal in 2024.
Maragos’ lawyer put it bluntly: it forces team doctors to stop focusing only on “when can he return to play” and start thinking about the next 50 years of a player’s life.
Spike, WIP needs to take the L on this one and own up to the fact outrage. Ross Tucker took your station to school this morning.
Instead of the bigger name NFL reporters just tweeting out "hmmmmm" and "🤔🤔🤔" about the Hurts thing, they should actually do reporting on it and if there was wrongdoing they should expose it.
What seems to have happened is the original Peliserro report that he was told to stay up all night and didn't sleep (understandably) sent everyone into crazy mode.
Now that he has corrected it and said he misunderstood what he was told (as it made no sense for doctors to tell him to stay up), nobody pays attention to that part.
If the Eagles or the doctors in London mishandled this they should be held to account. The people who are good at getting those answers should work to get them. But wondering aloud on twitter to get social media points is stupid.
False, false, and false

Replying to @DiBonaNFL
For what its worth... Brooks Kubena reported Britain Covey(NFLPA rep for the team) said in the locker room that he had no complaints with how the Eagles medical staff handled things. 🤷
#Eagles spread opened at +5.5 now down to +4.5.
Will be interesting what happens if Barkley is back at practice.

From my vantage point:
Bad optics but no obvious wrong doing
Not pulling back the curtain just makes it worse
Creates the conspiracy theories
No reason to be afraid of an investigation
Let's get the facts
Nothing wrong with the truth
@NFLPA has the right to do that
I want to hear from #JalenHurts too
Generally the agent goes to the NFLPA if there’s an issue with a team. This is the PA making it about another agenda.
A leverage play by the NFLPA. Makes no sense however because the agent and the team are working together. #Eagles
Statement from the @NFLPA:
“The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”
So in summary, because it was an international game, it was league doctors that cleared Hurts, not #Eagles doctors.
A lot of people here rushed to judgement without hardly any facts.

NFL EVP Troy Vincent says 40% of starters league-wide didn't play in the preseason, and that he believes it contributes to the early-season uptick in penalties, and sloppy quality of play. "I truly believe to be a good tackler, you have to tackle, and not just in practice."

One thing I'd add to this: The Eagles don't travel with a hematologist. When traveling internationally, they rely on the league for the best hospitals/specialists.
As noted here, the NFL worked with the Premier League and Jalen Hurts was evaluated at the Cleveland Clinic in London. He was then cleared to play.
When Nick Sirianni referred to relying on "medical experts," that reference included the specialists in London.
Our updated @TheAthletic exclusive on the NFL concluding proper protocols were followed in the Eagles's handling of Jalen Hurts.

NFL EVP Jeff Miller notes there was “considerable and uninformed speculation yesterday in the reporting” on Jalen Hurts. Notes there was “unfounded criticism” of the #Eagles’ team physicians.
