Got to ask Flyers #7 overall pick Matvei Michkov about the deception in his game and how integral that is to his shot and play in general. @FlyersKnitty #Flyers #NHL #NHLDraft #NHLDraft2023 #Michkov #Hockey – at Nashville, TN

Its great to see the Flyers break the winless streak. Certainly a game to build on.
Nonetheless, I still don't understand how Michkov plays, 14:29, and Martone, 13:28, when they essentially created all your offense.
Have to at least get them to 16 minutes TOI. @FlyersKnitty

Captain Coots presents tonight's Rocky gloves to our teammate @jasonmyrt.
Flyers have played their best this season through 2 periods so far. Offense led by Michkov/Martone with a goal and assist each.
PHI has created 10 high danger scoring chances to OTT's 6.

Nick Seeler on @jasonmyrt addressing the group this morning:
"That's a special human being right there. He takes the time to speak to us about what he's going through and it kind of puts life into perspective, really. Someone who's battling for his life and we're playing a hockey game and he's willing to come in and speak about his story and the adversity he's had to go through, ups and downs in his cancer battle. Truly remarkable human being, and the way he approaches life and how he battles through each and every day -- it was special to have him in here."

It was an honor to be able to address the team this morning. I will keep what I said in the room private which I think is appropriate. Looking forward to being at the game tonight vs the Sens in the barn!!!!
The @nhlflyers players had a very special visitor after morning skate today. At the invitation of Rick Tocchet, @jasonmyrt addresses the team.
He discussed his 30-minute philosophy. Set a timer. Take thirty mins to make a decision: give in or fight on.
It never takes the full time. The decision is always FIGHT ON.

The Flyers remain winless and move to 0-6-3 on the season.
They've scored a total of 11 goals in 8 games.
Michkov with 13:40 TOI despite being the only player that actively created offense for PHI consistently in this game. The fact he doesn't see the ice more is baffling.

I do not understand why the fourth line is getting shifts at that point of that game. They've gotten killed tonight. Jack Studnicka is a quad-A player. Bunting clearly is out of sorts. And they go out on the ice and immediately give up the likely GWG.

Through 2 periods Michkov has 8:27 TOI only Bunting/Martone/Studnicka with less.
When you barely create offense or maintain control of the puck in the offensive zone. Not playing your most talented offensive player that created your only goal doesn't seem like the best strategy.

Flyers with only 4:26 of offensive zone time and 13 shots on goal in this game so far. This team really cannot get much going offensively.
