Preparedness takes practice. 🚒✈️
HVN’s full-scale emergency exercise brought together local, state and federal response partners to put our emergency plans and response capabilities to the test.

🤠 Houston travelers: Avelo Airlines is moving to @iah!
Starting September 21, Avelo’s nonstop service between HVN and Houston will operate to and from Bush Airport (IAH), replacing service to Hobby Airport (HOU).
Flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
🚨 Heads up, HVN community: On 9/15, Tweed will conduct a full-scale emergency exercise alongside local, state & federal response partners.
You may see and hear increased emergency activity at and around the airport.
This is a planned exercise. There is no actual emergency.
Today, we remember and honor the victims and first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and stand with the loved ones who carry their memory.

On August 29, 1931, an estimated 12,000 people gathered to dedicate New Haven’s new municipal airport.
Exactly 95 years later, generations gathered at Tweed once again to celebrate nearly a century of aviation, people and history.
