If you haven’t encouraged Tesla Self-Driving, I strongly recommend renting a Tesla with FSD on Turo and taking a road trip.
You’ll never want to take a road trip in a manually driven car again.

Car rental marketplace Turo is introducing the first verified @Tesla FSD (Supervised) rental experience for travelers in the U.S.
Starting on October 28, Turo guests will be able to search, discover, and book Tesla vehicles with FSD (Supervised) activated, using direct API integration to verify FSD status.
Eligible Turo “hosts” who rent out their cars on the platform will also receive a free one-month trial of FSD. Turo said it is working with Tesla to directly access the automaker’s API to verify which cars have FSD enabled.
CEO of Turo. "Our own research shows that 55% of Americans are interested in driverless technology for travel, growing to 71% for Gen Z."

Lars just confirmed that Optimus will be plugging Tesla Cybercabs in to charge until Tesla develops and releases a more automated way with its new infrastructure expansion
Long term, Optimus won't be required to plug in Tesla's Robotaxis, but it will be pretty cool while they do $TSLA

Wow, look at all these Tesla Cybercabs and Model Y Robotaxis heading back to base. This is the largest number of Tesla robotaxis ever seen together on public roads.
Tesla is nearing 1,000 robotaxis registered in Texas to date.

I’m so tired of people who don’t build talking about seizing companies and wealth from those who do.
Democrats want to seize SpaceX because he’s a larger billionaire than all of their billionaires.
They don’t like that he can outspend their billionaires.

We can’t wait to share this one with you! Tomorrow, we’re taking a deep dive into the @Tesla Cybercab, exploring the engineering, design, and technology behind it.
Stay tuned!
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

The Texas Tesla Robotaxi fleet is about to cross 1,000!
32 more Cybercabs just hit the DMV registry, per @RobotaxiRadar:
Total fleet: 970
Cybercabs: 463 (47.7%)
Model Ys: 507
October: +424, up 78%
Back on June 9 the fleet was just 59. Only 30 more to 1K.
Will it get there before November 1st? $TSLA

I remember sitting around a campfire shortly after the Ukraine war had just started with some Ukrainian friends.
They shared that after they learned that Russian forces were jamming all communications they called Elon begging for Starlink support.
Elon and the Starlink team instantly dropped everything they were working on, loaded a private jet with as many Starlink terminals as they could (terminals were in short supply at the time), and started flying the jet eastward while writing code to make terminals work over Ukraine.
There was no contract or promise of payment for doing so, and no time to solve for that.
My Ukrainian friends believed this saved the nation of Ukraine, and that without this effort Ukraine would have lost the war nearly instantly.
