One of the coolest visitors we've had at MYR lately: CRANE 1 making several touch-and-go landings. ✈️ This Boeing 747-8 serves as a dedicated training aircraft for the U.S. Air Force's upcoming VC-25B Air Force One fleet, making it a pretty rare sight in Myrtle Beach. If you happened to see a giant 747 flying low and circling the airport recently, now you know what it was! Thanks to Andrew from MYR's operations team for the photos!

Power 2026 North America Airline Satisfaction Study—an incredible achievement for the 5th consecutive year! 🏆✈️ The award trophy made a special stop at the Southwest station at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) last week after traveling from Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP). We're kicking off the Fourth of July festivities a little early at MYR! 🇺🇸 Southwest's Freedom One touched down in Myrtle Beach today, bringing its patriotic new livery created to commemorate America's 250th birthday. It was a fitting way to celebrate the season and welcome one of the airline's most distinctive aircraft to MYR.

As part of our terminal expansion project, we've expanded amenities for nursing mothers traveling through MYR. The Mamava pod, previously located post-security, has been relocated to baggage claim between Doors 5 and 6, providing a private nursing space for mothers before passing through security. For travelers in the secure area, two dedicated Mothers' Rooms are available: ✈️ Concourse A — near the restrooms across from Pizza Hyena ✈️ Concourse B — near the restrooms adjacent to Gates B5 and B6 Each space offers a private, comfortable area for nursing and pumping, helping make the travel experience more convenient for families passing through MYR.

A lot goes into getting travelers where they need to go—and it wouldn’t happen without the people who show up every day to keep MYR running. Today, we're celebrating the team members, partners, and airport workers who work behind the scenes (and on the front lines) to make travel possible.
