I got a message from a former close friend of the dead shooter in the Umbilo “hijacking” last week.
The individual says the suspect is from Harding, KZN, but also had a home in Inanda.
His nickname was Smile.
According to the friend, he was out on parole since 9 January this year.
It’s believed he was a hitman who worked closely with drug dealers.
Police records now also confirm the dead gunman is a South African.

Florida Republican Mike Caruso, who sponsored antisemitism hate-crime bills like HB 269, was arrested in August 2026 on felony charges including lewd molestation of his young grandson (under 5).
The affidavit alleges he isolated the boy on a 2025 cruise, put his penis in the child’s mouth, and urinated in it, plus earlier incidents. He pleaded not guilty; the case continues.

I think many people who have never left their Nigerian hinterland before need to visit Elmina Castle someday and take note of where the church is located - directly above the slave dungeon. Praying to the lord on the top floor, while Africans physically rotted to death in filth undreneath. Whenever one of the Africans died, the oyibos would leave their chapel, go into the dungeon, remove them corpse and toss it into the sea.
Then go back to praying to white Jesus for a successful upcoming auction of African human cargo.
Maybe after doing the tour, it will provide some perspective and help them think about the implication of whether the descendants of the people who built Elmina castle have somehow grown to care about your miserable African life because you are a "Christian". The Africans they spent centuries raping in industrial numbers, using their skin as leather, hanging from trees, using their hair as sofa stuffing, and sometimes even eating outright, were "Christians" too.

This is an important article in the @dailymaverick which confirms that a substantial amount of hate against foreign nationals in South Africa was manufactured using bots on social media. We have always said this that a significant amount of xenophobic messaging on social media is driven by paid bots and coordinated networks.
There are people investing money in social media campaigns designed to inflame hatred and turn black Africans against one another.
The central question is, what do they want to achieve? Why would someone from elsewhere, spend money to encourage black people to fight each other? Who benefits when Africans are divided, distracted and consumed by hostility towards one another?
This research provides important support for what we have been saying. Tales of Turning found that 27% of the anti-foreign-national content it analysed was linked to a disinformation network involving bot and disruptor accounts.
The study examined publicly available social-media posts published between 30 May and 30 June 2026, using artificial intelligence and human analysis. It found that genuine frustrations about unemployment, crime, housing and failing public services were being redirected towards foreign nationals, while repeated slogans, hashtags and emotionally charged videos created the illusion of widespread public consensus.
We need to know who created these accounts, who paid for the campaigns, which organisations benefited from them and why they wanted to inflame tensions between black Africans.
Hatred does not emerge in a vacuum. Sometimes it is cultivated, amplified and weaponised by people who understand that divided communities are easier to manipulate.

By 2050, Africa will hold the fastest-growing youth population on earth. Nearly 1 out of every 4 people in the world will be African, and 1 out of 6 African will be Nigerian, with 1 out of every 25 random human on earth being Nigerian.
In the cold calculus of Western intelligence, a hyper-conscious, politically literate African youth population is an existential risk to Western hegemony and resource control.
More importantly, you must know that the mortal fear of the West is that if they fell out of power, others would do to them what they've done around the world for centuries.
So they figure that if a demographic giant wakes up to the frequency of Felas and Marleys, they will become completely ungovernable.
So how do you control a population that massive without deploying armies? You do it through the algorithm. You fund and amplify a modern, sanitized music industry that rewards escapism, hyper-individualism, and material wealth over consciousness.
By filtering out the revolutionary spark, the global imperial apparatus achieves ultimate containment and neutralization. They don't need to assassinate the prophets anymore ("how long shall they kill our prophets...?"); they just use music and entertainment to turn a potential revolutionary generation into completely redolent, bio-pliable 'fauna'.
